Pros +
- The location is phenomenal and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
- Clean hotel with very good food.
- Hotel Fines proved to be an excellent choice for our stay in the area. The staff took great care of us right from check-in, offering genuinely enthusiastic and helpful recommendations when we asked about trekking routes. Our room was well-equipped, quiet, and peaceful, providing a very comfortable night's sleep. We booked the half-board option, and the dinner was a true highlight of our stay. The food was delicious, especially the South Tyrolean dumplings recommended by a staff member; they were fragrant with cheese and were honestly more flavorful than any others we tried elsewhere.
Cons -
- One of the beds felt like it needed more support underneath it. It was a little soft. Otherwise everything was superb.
- My single room was too small.
- There are, however, a couple of things to be aware of for a smoother stay. The hotel has a fairly strict schedule for dinner time, so if you are on the half-board plan, it's a good idea to plan your day's activities accordingly. Additionally, like many traditional guesthouses in the region, the property does not have an elevator. This is not unusual, but it does mean it's wise to pack smart, particularly if you are traveling with heavy luggage. These were minor points and did not detract from our overall wonderful experience.

We rented one of their apartments. I was clean, very nice and quiet. Great views too. The staff was wonderful ?
Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The location great, a lot to do and a lot great hikes.
It was perfect for visiting the local sites and taking in the Dolomites. The staff were all helpful and courteous. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Fabian was very kind to allow us a later checkout as my son was unwell.
We liked everything and would stay again!
I like every thing there location the room is very clean n comfortable bed the view the area I really love it the stuff very friendly helpful kind breakfast was nice .
Very clean, The service is perfect and welcoming.
Value for money
very friendly staff, good food, clean
It was cold in the room overnight
The location is great for hikes and relaxing; the restaurant is very good; rooms are cozy.
The view was pleasant. The bedroom was big. There was a veranda.
The mattresses need changing as of very poor quality. At our veranda there was the window of a neighbouring appartment! Obviously, the appartment is a split of a previous larger appartment.
very comfy and clean room! Great location for hiking. There are some hiking routes nearby and also with the bus (bus stop very close) you can reach many more!
Clean, charming and comfortable
Fantastic location , very helpful friendly staff
Nice explanation at arrival, very friendly welcome. Nice location in Santa Magdalena.
Location, Location,Location. Beautiful St. Magdalena village. You are basically paying for the location not the hotel.
I stayed in a sigle room on a second floor (205). Room per se will meet the requirement of just to sleep and get up and get out. Room has one window as in the roof of attic. More lighting needed in the bathroom as there is no window and thick and dark coloured fabric shower curtain makes you are showering in dark. Mind your step you might get hurt if you are not wearing any slippers ( your own slippers) with the metal bar between bathroom door and the bed room. The establishment has on-site Restaurant and you hear the chatter not sure from the staff or customers at closing time even from the second floor.
The room was very nice with a bedroom and seperate breakfast area and work/office area. Lots of storage and was clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is great and a short hike from the hotel has absolutely stunning views of the Val De Funes peaks.
The location is perfect. Every morning - beautiful mountain view. Very close to the local food store. Relaxing atmosphere. Awesome.
Nothing to say.
Exceptional location, close to bus stop, restaurant downstairs, friendly staff
The room was clean and had a very nice view. It had all the necessary things. Location is nice, in the middle of the hiking trail. Zans national park is just few minutes away by car.
The apartment is rather small, also I'm not super happy about the extra cleaning fee for bringing the pets. From my experience it's common in the hotels, but in the apartments it's most commonly not the thing.
The location is phenomenal: It’s near a park with no cable cars, with the most beautiful hike of my two weeks on the Dolomites. It’s also near the viewpoint for St Magdalena — an easy walk up the hill — and right next to a beautiful river. The staff is helpful and has great trail advice. The food is excellent.
I was in a single room on the top floor, with only a skylight. It was hot at night and difficult to sleep. I think if they put a fan in the room it would help.
