Puma-Imperial Hotel

The location is just brilliant, close to the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. I also liked the size of the room, which had comfortable beds. The receptionists can speak English, and they were very helpful with hgih hospitality mind.

I did not like that I needed to listen to the sounds of the silly videos that the kitchen staff were watching in the backyard when having breakfast. I felt that they were more concentrated on their private things than the hostel guests.

Nice hotel in the city center. The room is big enough. It was a little outdated but the price is respective.The staff is friendly and prepared a breakfast box for me.

Karaoke noise the first night was bothersome. The hotel was very gracious and let me move to a different room away from the noise by the second night.

The hotel is in a great location- walking distance to Parliament Square and restaurants/malls. We did not notice any noise issues with the local bars, and the double glazing was pretty effective.The hotel is dated, but our corner room was large and clean. Wifi worked well. Plenty of plug sockets. Bottled water provided.Breakfast was basic but tasty enough. Staff members were available to cook eggs for you (albeit slowly). Staff at breakfast were disengaged and were very slow to clear tables.

The bed was outrageously hard and uncomfortable- easily the worst bed I have ever slept in. Whilst I appreciate that the firmness of a mattress is a personal choice, the mattress in this hotel was truly unpleasantly hard. The shower head was hanging off the wall and soaked the bathroom when used. The wall mounted hairdryer was weak and barely worked.The hotel lobby was dark and unwelcoming, and the restaurant was not open.

My first night was noisy due to a karaoke club. The hotel staff were very accommodating when I asked to change rooms.

The location was amazing. The rooms were big and clean. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. Good breakfast options.

There was occasional power cut with no power backup supply.

I booked a standart double room, but the mattress was uncomfortable because the bed had two small mattresses pushed together instead of a single one.

There was a lot of bass music and noise every night until 4am every evening, from the karaoke bars next door. Also, the staff were nice but when I tried to confirm an airport transfer with them a week in advance and they did not reply until I landed, when I had to find my own taxi.

This was my second stay at the Puma, and again, I was quite satisfied. This room was quiet, private, and clean, with all outlets functioning and excellent Wi-Fi. The staff was amicable. Unfortunately, I slept through breakfast for the two days I was there. But from my last stay there, I know it was ample and delicious: Yogurt, granola, eggs, porridge, biscuits, and other delectable items. In addition, the hotel is located downtown, close to the museums and other must-see tourist attractions.

Water pressure in bathroom is a bit lower. So it takes a bit more time to take a shower.

I regularly visit Ulaanbaatar for work and have stayed at several mid range hotels. Puma Imperial is now my preferred choice. Main advantages are position (very close to main square and many restaurants) very good breakfasts and value for money.

Minimal facilities, limited English spoken by staff, weak internet some rooms (but strong in breakfast room and lobby) and uneven quality of rooms. Some are very dated rather dark, others are light and spacious.

Great location close to the Parliament, bus station, shops, and restaurants. The receptionist could speak English and was very helpful. Paying credit card is available.

The staff, especially at the breakfast, were terrible. They were talking, watching movies on phones continuously while the breakfast tables were dirty and were unable to sit anywhere. When we mentioned it to them, they showed angry faces. They cooked their breakfasts every morning at the egg table, took their plates to the kitchen and closed the door, so as a guest it was very uncomfortable to call them out from the kitchen.

Great location, my room was quiet and very private. I missed the free breakfast, unfortunately, but the cafe on site had great coffee and edibles.

The breakfast was beyond excellent, everything you could possibly want, even caviar! Th e location is central, short walking distance to the central square, room was pleasant and very clean.

Puma-Imperial Hotel in Ulaanbaatar offers a prime location but falls short on comfort.

Rooms are outdated and noisy due to nearby clubs. The staff is polite but disengaged. Amenities are basic.
