Pros +
- Indeed the breakfast location overlooking the lake (assuming you got the cetral table) was superb. And the breakfast intself, essential in this area where the hotel's is the only facility open in the morning.
- Beautiful location near Lago Maggiore. Terrace for meals overlooks lake. Near a public park and marina to walk along the lake's edge. Hotel and restaurant are co-located. Plenty of on-site parking that was free of charge. Only 5 euros for my dog and they were very welcoming to him. Elevator access to upper floors. Nice sized room with balcony. Great buffet style continental breakfast. It looked like the restaurant also serves a good dinner; however, I had already eaten dinner before I arrived so I didn't eat dinner with them.
- The hotel was excellent and the lake view was stunning. We loved being able to enjoy our dinner on the terrace, watching the sunset after a long day of travelling.
Cons -
- Parking lot was full due to dinner crowd when I arrived in the evening, so I had to find public parking until a spot was open in their lot latter. Not a big issue.
- I am not the best sleepr, so I would appreciate some black out courtsins.. plus the condotioner that I mentioned earlier. Other than that, great place to stay! Thank you
- I can't say that I didn't like the restaurant, but the variety of dishes there is very modest. And the prices a bit too high in my opinion.

We had a great time at this nice family hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, location right by the sea and a great new sauna we recommend to try! Our room was a bit outdated, but very clean and tidy. The bathroom on the other hand was brand new, with nice design and having everything we needed. I only missed a conditioner. Other than that, you get a pair of slippers, robes, hair dryer, sweets, selection of teas, coffee and a kettle in the room.. we almost felt like home :)

Amazing views and convenient location.

A charming small hotel in a quiet location overlooking Lake Maggiore. Onsite parking, down a set of steps, and attached to a restaurant. Our terrace overlooked the pool and the lake, and was overlooked by all other rooms but was nice, quiet and comfortable. It proved to be a great base for our four day stay in the area, close to attractions but away from the grotty tourist strip at the southern end of the lake.Although we did not try the pool, I had some pleasant swims in the lake from the public beach about 100 metres away.
The attached restaurant was full of locals at the weekend - so obviously well regarded - but we didn't think that their service and food was quite as good as they obviously did themselves. There are alternatives in the town - two cafe style places (both excellent) and a Michelin restaurant (not tried.)
Great location, facilities, and breakfast. Everything was perfect. Thank you.
Very nice and comfortable, family-owned hotel. The lake view is stunning. The restaurant serves an excellent cuisine. having dinner on the outdoor terrace is a must do. The staff is very efficient and friendly.
The level of service was excellent. The view from our room was great. We had to check out prior to the breakfast service but we were supplied with a lovely breakfast to go.;
The location was amazing with a great view of lake and the grounds were beautiful! The breakfast and dinner were delicious! Everyone at the hotel were no nice!
Nice quiet location, the staff was very polite and helpful.
Loved the fresh mozzarella, cheese platter and cold cut meats. Lots of variety in bread, cakes, fruit etc
The fridge in the room does not get cold enough.
Really good rooms (spacious, clean, and fresh, with good sized balcony), great views all around, wonderful food, and a lovely family. A nice location, too, to walk around or to explore from.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Belvedere hotel. The staff was extremely kind, the bedroom was quite spacious and very clean and the view is magnificent. Both the breakfast and the meals at the restaurant were excellent, I highly recommend and will return.
Location was great, food was good, pool did the job, jacuzzi bath was a bonus.
Beautiful villa , and garden, view from the restaurant, wonderful breakfast. Great staff, especially the owners
Ranco is a small town with not much happening. It has a laid back feeling. We did find a fabulous place called “ Rocca di Angera” nearby which was a fabulous medieval fortress and gardens with an amazing toy museum. Well worth the visit.
Parking situation was challenging. The lot fills up with restaurant diners and there can be no place for guests to park. Lots of steps to get up to the building
I like all things, starting with amazing location and view, very freind and kind staff, food as well it was great, testy, the room also was very clean and quiet for sleeping !
I hope they can solve the wifi issue, I am sure they trying to give better wifi services to their customer/guests, but I had my own line for internet as all people have, so the wifi it is not issue to talk about.
The meals were superb and location was on point
Room was in the roof top and little windows a balcony would have been nice
Large rooms. Very quiet. Excellent restaurant.
