Pros +
- The hotel was very quaint and comfortable. Ravenstein and the surrounding area is beautiful. I stayed five nights for a nearby work meeting and a couple added days of tourism in the area. The hotel restaurant is also excellent; I enjoyed several meals there. Highly recommended to those in the area.
- The room was small but clean and quiet. The bed was soft and lumpy. The hotel advertises free parking, which is true but 400m away not by the premises. Although they offer cycling arrangements, when I asked for a cycling map they pointed me to the tourist office opposite and when I said it’s Sunday and they are closed, they shrugged their shoulders. It served its purpose for the night, clean, quiet and convenient.
- Lovely old building in great location. Rooms comfortable. Staff were very accommodating and kind. Great breakfast. Cook very nice. Secure bicycle storage available.
Cons -
- Door is closed till 17:00. You have to call them to check in.Can be a bit noisy (earplugs provided).
- Our main complaint is that there was some party in the bar downstairs, which no one mentioned to us when we checked in. A crowded bar and music would have actually been no problem at all, but it was unnecessarily (and unreasonably) loud due to some guy screaming into a microphone all night, and the PA system was turned all the way up to 10. We walked by the bar on the way to our room and couldn’t believe anyone could be in there for 2 minutes let alone all night with that sound volume - absolutely deafening. You could hear it already on the street three blocks away (in winter, with doors/windows closed). So we heard it all in our room, 2 floors above, until they finally stopped around 11:30. If that is a regular thing I would certainly ask before booking this hotel! Many other reviews here complained, oddly, only about the church bells - we loved those and slept right thru them.

We were a little unsure about staying, as there are some negative reviews. We had no reason to be anxious. Some say the rooms are small, that's true, but they are lovely cost rooms with lots of charm. Some say the bare floorboards creak; they do, but again it's part of the charm of the place and it's hardly at a level to cause a problem. There are ear defenders in the room if you are especially sensitive. Some say the staff are rude; in our experience they were wonderful. Overall we loved the place, it's charming, the restaurant is great and the staff were lovely. It's a cosy, beautiful, great place.
Located in the historical center of the old town of Ravenstein, the Keurvorst is a wonderful little hotel in a beautiful area, while still conveniently close to public transport options.
Really pretty building and surroundings, rooms still equipped well and modern
Our room was a nice size and very comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was wonderful. Breakfast was also excellent. The staff was very friendly. They had a nice courtyard area to store our bicycles.
Friendly staff, excellent location.

Nice location in the center of lovely Ravenstein. Cute small room on the top floor.

Stylish hotel in a picturesque fortified town located on the banks of the Maas. Spacious soundproof rooms with great comfort. A nice breakfast and delicious coffee. In the evening I enjoyed various regional products in the restaurant.
I have no complaints about this accommodation.
Very cozy room finished with wooden beams. A comfortable bed and a fluffy, warm duvet. Nice and helpful hotel staff. hotel located in the heart of a charming small town.
Friendly welcoming staff who were helpful without being obtrusive. The bedroom was well appointed, relaxing and with a good view over the local area. The meals were excellent with a good selection of local beers.
Parking instructions could be clearer but not problematic
Very cute rooms, big size, nice interior. The restaurant of the hotel was serving very good food. Very friendly staff. Good location in the town center

The place to be in Ravenstein… Great restaurant with awesome waitstaff the were so helpful it was a pleasure to dine in the restaurant. The room was cute with exposed rafters very historic but definitely a modern vibe. It was clean, smelt great and the bed was comfortable. There was a safe place to leave our bikes.
The room was spacious for a single traveler, I almost didn’t hear people around me (sometimes the toilet flushing), all the toiletries were provided, as well as very nice and clean fluffy towels. You can control the heating in the shower and in the room, it heats up quickly. The area around the hotel is really cozy too, sadly I didn’t have time to walk around more. I’d love to come here more, and would recommend it.
The lights in the room a bit dim (but great for sleeping anyway). The big bed made up of two smaller ones, felt weird sometimes, but the bed was itself comfy.
Nice clean comfortable room. Check in easy and en suite and TV in room. Reasonable value for money.
Location good for Ravenstein town but bit of a hike to the station for night out in Nijmegen. Maid banging on door at five minutes to 11am saying it's time to get out rather rudely wasn't appreciated.
Wonderfully authentic location, charming interior, spotlessly clean, silent environment. Note that reception hours are more generous for hotel guests than the opening hours indicated on the door.
Bathroom slightly too cold. No dedicated parking space.
Beautiful village some excellent walks friendly locals clean and some great food outlets will definitely stay here again
vintage rustic style room, bath
room is right across from the tower clock with restaurant right below- and the whole building isn’t sound proof so you can hear EVERYTHING as well as the bell from the tower which goes off every half hour also through the night. hotel does provide ear plugs though just that people who are bad sleeper should be aware
Loved this place , comfortable beds , very friendly staff and great breakfast all for a very reasonable price . Nice location in the centre .
