Hotel Forsthaus St. Hubertus

Beautiful area, quiet but close to city center. This is a family-run hotel, unique and cozy. You can see that the staff cares about your stay :)

It would be nice to have more sweet options for breakfast :)

Quiet place. Free parking.

The room was small. Tiny TV screen. Very weak water flow in the shower. No vending machine for snacks or drinks. The breakfast is impressive and varied, but in practice everything I tried to eat was not tasty.

It was a cold wet couple of days so heating would have been nice.

Breakfast and the bed comfort

+ Very nicely designed facility, despite the age: room was easily accessible from the front parking through the lobby. Ideal for motorbikers or people with strollers.+ Very good, rich breakfast.+ I personally loved the style of some of the furniture, dating from the 1980s - very good quality and design+ Big room with little living area, large bathroom+ Nice staff, polite and friendly - they agreed to anticipate a bit breakfast time (I had to take a ferry to Scandinavia)+ Parking

+ No real air conditioning, but even in mid summer temperatures are rather reasonable in this area (and very cold in the winter!)+ Position is not central, may be a problem if you don't have a car/bike

So pleasant staff with posh breakfast. With this money, absolutely bargain.

The most unserviceoriented staff: We were sworn at at breakfast because we turned up early and asked to help ourselves to what already was put out. Most unwelcoming morning ever! Such staff should not be among guests - total put-off!

The location is nice. 15 mins from Lubeck by car. The people are very helpful and polite. Rooms are big and clean

Very easy late-night check in. We needed a comfortable spot for our family to sleep after a late ferry arrival, and we had a comfortable stay here.

Forsthaus St Hubertus is a little gem. It is our regular stop when we (frequently) visit Lübeck. The city is about 5 miles from the hotel and there is a regular bus route with a stop about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bus takes you all the way into the centre of the city. Hotel is situated on the edge of a wooded area and rooms are quiet. Breakfast caters for most tastes with a varied selection of food. When arriving, the owner was more than happy to help with carrying the luggage up the stairs. There are 3 excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

No lift. Breakfast in dining room but no restaurant for other meals.

Friendly staff even though no one was at the front desk at 20.45 when we arrived, but they answered on the phone quickly and we got help right away. The breakfast had a lot of options. Nice neigbourhood.

Not sure its ever been renovated. A bit expensive for the quality of the hotel.

The breakfast was very delicious and with lots of option. The room was clean and comfortable. It is very easy to get there from Lübeck, and to go to the airport.

Very good location for accessing city of Lübeck. Good free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good restaurants in the vicinity (accessible by foot or car). Müggenbusch restaurant was recommended by the owner. This is ½hour walk through beautiful forest path or by direct door to door access by car. Bus stop with excellent service for Lübeck is within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.

No air conditioning although there was a fan in the room. (We were there during a very hot spell in June.)

It’s a small family hotel that meets all the necessary requirements that are important to us when traveling: comfortable beds, quiet rooms, good shower and clean bathroom, good breakfast. We travelled in the summer and there were loads of mosquitos in the surroundings as it is a very green area BUT not a single mosquito could get into the room thanks to the mosquito nets on the windows. Very thoughtful detail that definitely made our stay much nicer as it was quite warm, so kind of necessary to have the windows open. We would definitely go back!

Nice hotel with spacious room, close to Lübeck, yet in a quite area. Excellent breakfast to start your day.

I'd suggest to consider putting in hardwood or tiled floors instead of the carpeted floor. It would remove the slight mold smell.
