Hotel Excellent

Room was a good size, a little strangely laid out with a wardrobe you can't fully get into and the door didn't close without firmly pulling it, breakfast was basic but sufficient. Location was good as we were only working just around the corner.

Staff seemed rushed and a little unfriendly when I checked in, the breakfast not being included wasn't great as people generally don't like extras tagged onto a bill at the end.

Wonderful location on the banks of the Trave and the edge of the old city. Two adjoining rooms which was ideal for a family. We left my son's soft toy behind by mistake and the hotel was kind enough to post it back to us. Strongly recommend.

Lovely old building in a beautiful location overlooking the lake. Spacious rooms. Very friendly staff.

It would be really great if blackout blinds were fitted to stop the early morning light.

Room 2, where I stayed, has the most perfect balcony overlooking the water and old town. Ideal for a few days writing (like me) or doing any kind of remote work.

Bed could have been more comfortable. But honestly, I didn’t even care. That’s how otherwise great the room was!

The kindness of the personnel - including hrlping with luggage on the stairs. The space in the room. And, most of all, the magnificent terrace (I had room 4), with views and nice furniture, including a suspended rocking chair.

Awful - will never stay there again

Noisy road, room smelt bad, was not clean, beds were uncomfortable.

Close to city center. The big balcony.

The breakfast did not give value for the money.The cleaning of the room was not too good.

Location was great, building was nice, most of the staff were very nice and friendly.

Nobody mentioned to us at check in that breakfast was not included, so it was a surprise to us at check out when we were asked to pay. On top of that, the breakfast was extremely basic and overpriced. This was the type of breakfast I would expect to get for free. I would have accepted paying 7 EUR or so, but for 15 EUR I would expect a lot more.

Only stairs to reach the third floor. Staff was however helpful with luggage.

Poor service at the reception, they have not told us were our room was located (it appeared in another building), and we had to move with our bags up and down, etc. All other info, like when and were is breakfast, other services were not provided.

We had the family room, which is spacious for us (2 adults and 2 small kids). The staffs are friendly and accommodating to our requests, such as extra pillows. Location is great, very close to the city and nice view to the lake.

The bathroom is small and slowly need an update. There is no elevator, so it will be difficult if you have a lot of luggage.

We were lucky to get the family room on the 2nd floor overlooking the river. It had a lovely view out of the windows and it was very quiet. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly.The location is perfect for exploring old town of Lübeck. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice - good food and lovely atmosphere.The parking was a bit challenging, but we managed to find a parking space on the street nearby and we didn't have to pay because parking is free at the weekend.

Nothing, everything was good

The surroundings and the location are very good! There is the lake and the river next to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room and hallways are very clean.

There is not enough light in the room and the window is very small.The reception could be improved. It is quite small, very old and it looks like it's from the restaurant rather from the hotel. The apparence is not the best (the entrance carpet looks very old)

location, location, hospitality, hospitality made our stay click. walk across the bridge and u are almost next to the dome, a little further you're in the middle of everything by easy to get to, parking available if you book

It was for me a great location

At check out time I could not use my Master Card Credit Card, yet there was enough money on my account. I had to use my cash and I had barely enough to pay for my Taxi to the Airport in HamburgBy the way I checked with the Credit Card Company and I was told that my Card was good and I had over $ 3.000,00 on my account My Bill was only 736.00 Euro for my stay.
