- This hotel is VERY high end! I love places which hold on to the German traditions, particularly putting quality at the forefront, and they are very good at it. Every single detail was perfect, from the cleanliness of my room to breakfast service
- Family run. Very nice staff. Super clean and quiet. Perfect location. Communication was great. Will stay again. Lovely breakfast and wonderful assortment of really good teas.
- We arrived very early and was greeted by very nice, polite friendly lady who let us store our luggage until check in time and gave us a map of the area. The room was spacious, very clean and had a kettle , fridge, safe, and upright fan in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is in a good central location. Breakfast was optional and at a additional cost. We would stay in this hotel again if we revisit.
Cons -
- Parking is a bit difficult, but no more so than you'll see at other European locations close to an old town center.
- no complaints
- The room and bathroom were very small. The photos definitely don’t show a regular double room

Very good boutique hotel near major attractions. Restaurants within walking distance. Good breakfast and comfortable rooms. Quiet locations.
This is a nicely located hotel at the center of the Altstadt in Lübeck, very close to all of the famous landmarks. I particularly recommend the nearby Willy Brandt house. It reveals a subdued elegance characteristic of Lübeck's Hanseatic heritage. The rooms are nicely furnished, and we stayed in the Heinrich Mann room, one of my favorite authors. I was rather happy about that. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very helpful. My son and I started our bike ride along the Ostseeradweg from Lübeck to Rostock, and the hotel is very accommodating to bike riders.

Staff were friendly, location good. Breakfast was nice and had lots of choices
The room and bathroom were very small. The photos definitely don’t show a regular double room
location, staff
the bathroom is outside teh room and shared by other guests
Great location within Old Town area. Single room had everything I needed, also slippers and bathrobe which were nice bonus. Small Christmas gif left on a door knob was appreciated too. All this small details made stay nice and memorable.
I was a bit afraid, that one bathroom shared between the rooms might be a problem, but during my stay there wasn't a lot of people.
It had a great interior, modern elements with a nice nod to the city's historical importance with the sea. It is located in a quieter area. Great for sleeping. Clean.
Nothing to complain about, we enjoyed. Good price, pretty decent location and a comfy, quite bed and room.
Warm reception. Clean, comfortable room with good bed and bedding. Bathrobe furnished. Excellent breakfast. Centrally located in the old part of town.

Lovely rooms. Good location and very quiet.
Our rooms on top floor up 7 steep flights. With heavy luggage and no lift at 76 and 82 this was not ideal. Should be emphasised on booking. Hotel is unmanned from 7pm to 7 am.
The room was clean and very cosy. The bathroom was huge and modern with a lovely bathtub. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. The hotel was only a short walk from town. We would definitely stay again.
I really can't fault anything.
We arrived later than the stated check-in time, and the hotel left the key for us in a box at the entrance. This was convenient and allowed us to access our room even though we were late. The hotel is located in a beautiful old building in the city center. The room itself was cozy and had a nice atmosphere.
There was a problem with the code provided for the key box. The code didn’t work, and since we arrived around 11 PM, we were quite worried when we realized the code was incorrect. Fortunately, we managed to guess the correct code within a few minutes, as the digits were just mixed up. If we hadn’t guessed it, we would have had to call the number they left for such situations, which added unnecessary stress to our arrival. Additionally, the mattress on the bed was very hard, and the pillows were too soft, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
The location of the hotel is pretty good, just need to take 10 mins bus from main station to the hotel. It is also close to supermarket, restaurant and Rathaus.
I understand it is a traditional hotel and private-run hotel, but it would be great to extand the reception opening hours. Remember to check in before 18:00. Otherwise, you need to make a call to notify the staff beforehand.
Nice hotel.Good location. Good value for money.
Some other guests were noisy and rude. They waked us up at 7 a..m. I complained and they did not apologise.
Very nice and elegant hotel. Our room the first night was quite small (cruise ship cabin-like). We upgraded to a larger room which was quite spacious. So I recommend booking a larger room. Both rooms were nicely decorated and furnished. BTW, Booking.com does not accurately show different room sizes so you may want to consult the hotel before committing.
The breakfast was good and the service great but at 30 euros per couple it's a bit pricey.
Very nice location and supercool old building. Helpful staff and lovely room with view over the rooftops from both living room and toilet.
You heard much noise from the Street in the apartment with Open Windows. Breakfast was ok, missed fruits eg. The stand alone airconditioner did not work.
Functional space, great location.
Only one shared bathroom for the floor. Very clean, but can easily get busy.
The beautiful windows and the old building appealed to me as well as the renovation to the bathroom (tiny but very nice). The location was super and I look forward to my return one day.
lack of elevator
The room was quite nice, I like that the floors were wooden, and the location was fine.
I'm not a big fan of a shared bathroom, and I think several rooms shared this one bathroom with a shower. But other than having to wait once because someone was in the shower when I needed the toilet, it was fine.
