El Rey Palace Hotel

We canceled at a different booking because El Rey was so much better -better value, so clean, spacious, terrific breakfast, less touristy location yet super convenient, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this for the value and even regardless of value.

The second time we stayed there the bed was a bit less comfortable, but still fine.

Room was clean, bed comfortable. There was a lot of space. Basic cosmetics available. Reception was helpfull. It's close to the center.

I had to pay too much for early check in. Laundry was delayed 4 hours. I the morning I found out that instead of 10 am it will be ready on 2 pm. Which cost me 4 extra hours in a hotel - I wasn't able to go outside and enjoy the city, because I gave my warm clothes to get cleaned. At the end hotel marked that I had not checked in there, even though I bought extra night (after they told me they can do my laundry till 10 am). When I contacted them through booking.com why they did that, they ignored my message. It all impacted on my overall opinion about the hotel.

It was in a good spot, close to the main square. The room had a fridge and some drinks in that fridge.

There was no option for food after lunch. We like to have the option of room service or a quick meal in the hotel cafe/restaurant.

The location is excellent, nearby restaurants, el prado, the purple teleférico and other places. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. Definitely I will come back in my next trip to La Paz. ?

Spacious and well-appointed room, large and clean bathroom. The room even has a small fridge/minibar inside. Staff were always friendly and helpful and we benefited also from the good laundry service (additional charge). Breakfast was Buffet-Style.

The location isn't super central, but perfectly walkable.

Its rooms are big and comfortable it is my second time there. Its breakfast service is tasty and there is a variety of fruit, drinks and biscuits

The locations is very good, the room was very confortable, with enough space for my family, and the staff was awesome with the help for any kind of requests: an address, a taxi, some advices to meet the city, etc.

I was about to give 10 to this travel, but I had a 'situation' with the women staff when I was leaving the hotel. It looks like the staff in the morning doesn't coordinate well with the staff in the night, because she asked me to make the 'remaining' pay before leaving (and my taxi was already waiting for us to go to the airport). I told her that I already did the full payment of the booking. She couldn't find any payment record from me in the hotel's system, any Whatsapp message with this info, so I had to show her my payment transaction from my bank, and even after that, she refused to believe it. After like 15 min of waiting, some how, she 'found' the payment record and allowed me to leave. Who was not happy was my taxi driver as you could imagine....Need more coordination the staff team...

The room was very clean and comfortable, with large beds. The bathroom as well was very large and well maintained. The price was excellent for the room we got, and the location is a fairly short walk away from lots of the main attractions of La Paz.

For the breakfast, they charged extra for eggs. It's a small thing, but almost every hotel I've stayed in while touring Bolivia (I guide motorcycle trips) provides eggs with breakfast at no extra charge. The parking lot was small, and our motorcycles were parked behind another vehicle that decided to leave at midnight. That meant the staff had to call us and wake us up to move our bikes out of the way - not their fault, but did mean a poor sleep that night.
