We had a very strange incident on one of our two nights. An older woman and her dog walked into our room at 2:30 AM , turned on our lights and started loudly speaking to us in German. We tried to tell her we did not understand, we could not tell if she was confused or angry or embarrassed, She stayed for 5 minutes speaking to us with her dog barking and running around our bed while we groggily tried to comprehend exactly what was going on! She then let herself out while still animatedly talking loudly.

* Breakfast was great. Buffet was extensive and had everything for good start of the day. Lady at the reception was very kind to let me have the breakfast even though i reached the breakfast restaurant at 10am (closing time). I very much appreciate the gesture.* the view of the river from the hotel is amazing* bus stop and train station at walking distance from the hotel.

* Property says that it has parking available but its not visible at the first go. Parking spaces are available with a differently named hotel which one can only find out at the reception. However, parking on the street is free so i could find parking near the hotel.

The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. Loved the traditional German feel of the hotel. On site parking was available and secure. It did look a little bit small for the size of the hotel so if you arrived late on a busy day you might not get a spot.

The room was quite adequate but slightly smaller than I had hoped and quite basic.

Location on the river, friendly helpful staff.Very nice breakfast and coffee.

Be prepared to park on a street a short walk from the hotel, but it was free and safe.

The staff was super nice and friendly, and the breakfast was great, we enjoyed it so much. The location is beautiful by the river, although a bit far away from the railway station. Alltogether we were very happy about our stay here.

I think everything went well. Staff was not super fluent in Ensglish, but the helpfullness made it up :). We were a bit disappointed that the restaurant&weinstube was not open at this time of the year.

I really liked this hotel. I didn't want a hotel in the center of Koblenz so I tried this place. I was surprised to find a balcony overlooking the river.....barges, people fishing....it was great. An easy 40 min walk to the city across the bridge...mostly flat...about 4km (bus available if your not up for it, taxi home one night cost 19 euro). Staff was really nice....good breakfast....continental but with nice warm soft boiled eggs). Highly recommend, I would stay again and I'm sure I will, hopefully the same room :-) Good restaurant options close by and also a supermarket and drink shop just up the hill.

WIFI did not not work for me....neither chromebook or phone. Not to worry.

The only thing that was very good is the location, by the river.

When we arrived the hotel appeared to be closed! No staff were on site. We had to ring a number and were given a code to a key safe to obtain our key. Room was basic and bed uncomfortable,

When I sat outside in the rain I could see the river. There was a bus stop + restaurants & shops nearby. There was a fridge in the room.

I didn't like my small uncomfortable bed which hurts your legs when you sit on it in a big room with an uncomfortable massive chair. I hardly slept the first night. Room overlooking a courtyard with people walking past. No tea / coffee making facilities. No soap just 2 small shampoo sachets .Small bath towel.At breakfast I wanted to sit by the window to enjoy the river view. I was told I had to sit at another table facing a wall? I moved around so I could see a bit of it. No one sat at the table I wanted the whole time I was there. I was reminded to leave the key 3 times before I left. If you are a couple with a river view & allowed to sit by the window you will probably enjoy it.

Great location on the river, good value for money. The restaurant has very good hearty homemade meals that are great value for money. Very clean with friendly family owners.

Lovely traditional German hotel with views over the river. Bus stop nearby with regular service into Koblenz. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.

The restaurant and bar had a limited menu and limited opening hours.

We arrived and the hotel was closed, it was a Monday and there was a sign on the door saying closed Monday and Tuesday. No notification of this in advance.

Owner was nice and helpful; hotel had wondeful outdoor dining area; also great (and free) breakfast.

Needs air conditioning, maybe a hair dryer in bathroom. And definitely tissues - had none!

It was decent, a fair selection included perfectly boiled eggs. There was everything one would expect from a hotel in Germany. Good start to the day.
