    • We loved the hotel. It has fantastic views over the Rhein far below ,of the city and far beyond to the volcanic Eifel area.At night it was even prettier. We loved our spacious room,a sitting area ,good shower room, and very comfortable beds. The room was well furnished with little homely touches, but not too much.Breakfast was lovely.Prettily set breakfast room.Great coffee- a pot each! The staff were all so friendly..Super welcome, and a friendly farewell. We will definitely return.
    • The rooms were clean. Breakfast was lovely. The view of Koblenz was very nice. People came up there to hang out on the benches overlooking the city and watch the sunset. It was a short drive into Koblenz.

    Cons -

    • If you don't have a car (like we did) access here can be difficult
    • Nothing really, but we landed on Monday and Tuesday when the gorgeous looking terrace, well known restaurant and bar were closed.I know this is common in Germany, but we rather felt if they’d got guests they should be looked after in this high season. Not a problem, but we had no experience of the above.Guests and locals bought beer and sat out on the carpark wall looking at the astonishing view.
    • - Hard to access without car

Very comfortable room. Very clean. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was adequate and very reasonably priced. We got a deal on the room which made it definitely worth the money. Fantastic view over the city, especially at night time.

It didn't inconvenience us but other guests may want to note that it's a steep descent to the promenade and ferry across to the main part of the city, then a steep climb back again. Otherwise you really need to drive.

The bedding was fantastic. The sheets were silky and the cover was weighty. Very nice.

While we could see the city, it was ground level and saw more people passing by our window than expected. We were hoping for a bit more scenery. While the breakfast was good, it wasn't FANTASTIC. German Standard for everything ....which is within the budget that this hotel is rated for.

The view! We had dinner at the restaurant enjoying the food and the views. It was the last night of trip and sitting on the patio was the perfect ending.

Sightseeing from the top of the hill; the Devil's Stair climb. Great food at the restaurant when open.

Restaurant is closed both Monday and Tuesday. Restaurants in the area are also closed Tuesday, so to get dinner these days you will need a car or cab to get to city center.

The cleanliness, staff very friendly. Was our 2nd visit. Will definitely be back next year! Breakfast excellent and plentiful. The view from the hotel. Room a nice size. Beds very comfortable.

The prices were high at the restaurant. But it wouldn't put me off from staying here.

Beautifully situated on a hill overlooking Koblenz.Private parkingGood breakfastRestaurant with terrasse

Difficult to go down to the old town.

    9ChristinePosted on: 7-2-2024

The location was very tricky to get to down very narrow, winding streets. But it was worth it. Amazing location high above the city with great views of the city and the rivers. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Great shower & water pressure. Great parking.

The only downside for us that we unfortunately stayed on the night the restaurant was closed. The owner gave us a great recommendation for a nearby restaurant, so it all turned out well.

The view is amazing. Rooms were clean.

Very remote location. Steep walk down to Koblenz. Hotel bar was closed Monday and Tuesday but didnt seem to be open at all.

    9PaulPosted on: 6-27-2024

Large, comfortable room with seating area and ensuite bathroom. Clean. Good breakfast. Great views over Koblenz from an elevated position across the Rhine.

Long, steep walk into Koblenz city.

    9BeaumontPosted on: 6-25-2024

Great breakfast. Bit hard (but only a little) to get to using public transport but excellent views

    9StewartPosted on: 6-25-2024

Our room was really spacious and clean, with unbeatable views. All of the furnishings seemed new, good quality and really well looked after.

We enjoyed our walk to town but the distance and steepness wouldn't be for everyone.

    8AndyPosted on: 6-18-2024

Nice view, but a bit of a distance from the main city, including a big climb to get back.

Maybe something to make tea or coffee in the room, and a little more choice for breakfast.

    8LesleyPosted on: 6-8-2024

The views where stunning, lovely room with comfy bed

    7SuzettePosted on: 5-28-2024

    Was cheap. View was amazing.

    Far from the City Center.

    9AndyPosted on: 5-17-2024

    Great view, good evening meal.

Maybe a little more choice for cooked breakfast.

    9MarkPosted on: 5-15-2024

View from hotel is greatStaff friendly and helpfulBedroom clean and spaciousVery comfortable bed, very quiet at night so had one of the best sleeps of our German Rhine cycle tripGrwst breakfast with lots of choice

We arrived after 2pm check in time and found hotel door locked however someone came after 5 minutes ringing the doorbellThe hotel is high up, hence the great view at sunset, not so great pushing your loaded cycle up a 22% steep hill. That is obviously not the fault of the hotel!?Easy ride down to city centre in the morning!Would have been nice to use hotel bar but it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays
