Hotel Ambassadeur

The view is really nice, you are in the center so you don’t have to walk a lot to get back to the hotel.The staff is kind. We could leave our luggage there and take them back in the afternoon

There was only 2 things first it can be quite noisy at night due to the Christmas market we didn’t anticipate that. Second it seemed like something exploded in front of the bed, maybe a bottle or something I don’t know. So it’s mainly clean just this thing wich is quite big I don’t think it’s like this in the other rooms though

The location, the rooms, the staff and our view towards the town square from the balcony. We've been here before and we find it offers really good quality in comparison with the standard offer of the Belgian seaside.

It would be good to have a small fridge in the room in a future upgrade.

Stayed many times at this hote love the location - food is also the best in Oostende - such a shame lift is a bit tempremental

The location is really good - in the middle of the old town on a lively square with parking options close by. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was recently renovated, the room was clean but with some traces of heavy use (floor planks partly missing, stains on walls and curtains) and smelled of smoke. The building is old but there is an elevator. Ground floor restaurant if you arrive late and want to eat. We only stayed for one night and the room was affordable and totally acceptable - good stop if you're just staying for a night.

The room is not ready and we need to wait for 1 hour...no ac even don't have ventilator...not too proper....but just for 2 days then there's no problem ?

1. Nobody told us at the booking time that the lift was broken. My room was at the 6th floor. Nobody helped me with my luggages. I am disabled (disease) and cannot not easily go up such numbers of stairs at least 4 times a day.No excuses from the staff, no help, no compensation. Remember I paid 135€/night2. Room very old : I have pictures for you. Walls very dirty.no equipment like kittle, neither little fridge.3. Bed : no mattress protector, dirty mattress , shhets that comes out during the night and so you sleep on the mattress,...4. Bathroom very old, walls dirty even where the towels were. no furnitures.I ask for soap and the staff was very reluctant to fulfill the content. No sympathethic at all.Towels taste very bad & stucky.Remember : I paid 135€/ night.4. No staff at the reception from pm to next morning. I needed help. Nobody there. Everything apart from the location was terrible. We had one "deluxe room" and two "standard rooms". Deluxe room was supposed to have an additional seating area, private entrance, a balcony-- these were false commitments. The deluxe room was exactly the same as the standard room. The only difference was that it had a really tiny smoking balcony facing the market area. They charged me 30 euros extra for that. We were supposed to have one proper extra bed for our kid; but they put a simple bassinet. I asked them that I don't need it; they can remove it and reimburse me the extra money they are charging for that (20 euros)-- they refused to do so. In summary it was a very disappointing experience with a lot of false promises the hotel made before booking-- the rooms were tiny-- chairs were broken-- no extra space for money-- won't not recommend anyone.

the common parts like corridors and elevators are really old and run down. no sound proofing between rooms

The Hotel facilities is very bad and not properly managed, even the toilet papers was not available and we requested and no one care, we end up buying or own toilet papers.
