    Pros +

    • WOW! Awesome staff, location, view, entertainment at night. Breakfast very good with variety of fruits and juices. Our cabin was basic and clean on the inside and beyond beutiful on the outside. In Colombia we stayed in 9 hotels and this was the best!
    • Staff, and location
    • It’s a beautiful, colorful and well taken care place. It is situated next to the Piedra del Peñón.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast was ok.
    • They need to improve the amenities in the rooms. Bad sheets, pillows, the room feels humid and the bathroom is tight.
    • The WiFi is only reliable close to the reception. Never worked at my room and had issues trying to remote work.If you plan to sleep during the day understand there's gonna be a lot of noise since it's very close to the tourist spot of the Piedra del Peñol so you'll hear their music, vehicles going up and down and most annoying of all, there's a helicopter tour leaving and landing very close to the hotel.During the night it's okay

The property offers a cozy authentic paisa atmosphere. Nice building and great service

They need to improve the amenities in the rooms. Bad sheets, pillows, the room feels humid and the bathroom is tight.

We chose the Zócalo Campestre Hotel because it is located close to the main attraction of El Peñol. We were very lucky not only with the location, but also with the hotel staff! Natalie, the hotel manager, was always in touch and helped us with all requests and questions! Thank you, Natalie, Johan and Eduardo, you guys are not just professionals in your field, you are wonderful people! We are glad that we chose to stay at your gorgeous hotel!

Amazing location, wonderful staff, incredible views and very good food.

A bit far from the town but east to get a taxi.

I had an excellent stay! The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The facilities were well-maintained and offered everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I couldn’t be happier with the experience—highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful traditional architecture, impeccably maintained and clean, with outstanding customer service from the staff.

The location of the property is excellent - a short walk to el Piedro and wonderful views from your terrace. The territory of the property is beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, juice, eggs and coffee. They arranged for us a pickup from the Medellin airport and that was very convenient. Thank you!

    10JessicaPosted on: 10-26-2024

The included breakfast was amazing. The views were the best in the area. The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. The cabin was beautiful as was the entire grounds.

The steep driveway and the distance from town were the only downfall.

The view over the dam when you have breakfast or dinner is priceless. Perfect accommodation for early hike up to the Piedra - if you leave by 8:30 you avoid all the tourist - you only meet them on your way down on a separate staircase going up. The staff was very helpful and kind.

The dinner was a little expensive (40.000 COP)

Piedra and beautiful view of Gautape lake from Hotel. Worth to stay to enjoy sunset view from Hotel. Most of the bungalows have beautiful view. Garden is small, hotel shares wall with Piedra entrance but you need to walk down from facility to main road, take right turn and join the steps starting from restaurant at the corner

Amazing location for those wanting to stay close to La Piedra de Peñol. Easy walking distance (as close as you can get for a hotel!). Very helpful staff who were willing to help with every request and detail.

Wifi limited to reception area with no coverage in the room.

Beautiful ? it's like a small town w. Cute cabins, very clean, the staff is kind and caring. Right next to the piedra.

My stay was absolutely amazing! Their rooms are nice and comfortable. Their view from the restaurant balcony is so so beautiful. I wanted the hotel to leave a Happy Mother’s day note for my mom, but the stuff went above and beyond. They decorated the room with balloons, petals, a special candy bouquet for my mom and a beautiful card. I was not expecting all of that. My mom was so surprised and happy with all the attention they gave us. The food was delicious and we were able to enjoy the pool table, tejo equipment and the little bar they have. I really want to thank the hotel for their amazing hospitality from day one until the last day. They treated us like family. Thank you Angela Gutierrez, Johan Piedraita and the rest of the staff for making my mom’s mothers day weekend the best one.
