    Pros +

    • Staff was very friendly and quick to respond. They helped us set up transportation to different places around town.
    • The location was incredible, in the water, sights of the rock, and just a quick drive to restaurants and the old town! Hotel staff were do delightful and pleasant. Breakfast was great!!
    • The location is ideal for the peñón (walking distance). The view from the rooms is amazing and very peaceful. The room was big and nicely done.

    Cons -

    • You can hear people talking in other rooms and walking around very early in the morning.
    • Throughout the day, there is loud music being played and just wasn’t conducive to an afternoon nap. Finding the dirt road & then another turn a dirt road was challenging at night, with no apparent signs. The gentlemen that work the water recreational toys could learn how to respect guests, speak politely to others, and learn to approach guests in a non-threatening manner.
    • It would be great to have a vegetarian option for breakfast.

Location and the staff. Amazing views. Right in front of the lake. They have Kayaks available for guests.

Friendly staff, super great view from the room, quiet lakeside vibe.

The driveway to get there is super steep. That was fine for me, but might not be good for people with mobility challenges.

A unique boutique hotel with phenomenal views and great food!! Staff are awesome. Bedrooms great.

Hot water was not hot enough in showers and basins.

The hotel is located in a very lovely area and the building makes it even more lovable. The view from behind the stone is great and waking up to a view over the lake with areas to enjoy is great. We found at check out only that kayak are part of the reservation, so make sure to make the most of it, we did not realize it on time. The breakfast was alright. It always the same basis (eggs with some meat, toast with cheese, a fruit, and a drink - but tea is extra). For any food restrictions, I recommended telling them before you seat, as they will just proceed to serve you right away.

Although the area looks vefy peaceful, there was a lot of noise from private fincas surrounding this one (some parties, fireworks) but luckily it ended before 1am (probably 12h30). The was this beautiful building is design makes the sound travel very easily so we would hear noise from the surroundings, and since above our room was the breakfast terrace, we would hear all the moving chairs, and lively conversations. So this hotel is great to enjoy the view and take advantage of the surroundings but not a restful stay per se.It should be noted that we were fairly close to the stone walking, but the hotel is located on a steep slope so it is kind of a hike to go up and down. But they will happily call for a motocart for a fee.

Location is great as it's really on the shore of the lake with a breathtaking view of the piedra del penol! The pavilion outside is quite small, maybe 6 persons max so you'll have to fight for a seat, but it's definitively the best place to be. The restaurant area is very pretty with views over the lake while you enjoy breakfast/dinner. Breakfast was good.

For the included breakfast, we were offered coffee or chocolate, my wife asked for tea, but at check-out we were charged 3500COP because tea was not included...Absolutely ridiculous, tea is by very far the cheapest option, just include it.The road to get there is not that long but extremely narrow, just one car, but it's both ways, and is a dirt/rock road. The end of the road leading to the hotel is very steep while still being just enough for one car...Not the best.

The hotel is located in a quiet, beautiful place, La Pierda Mountain is also nearby, it can be seen from the alcove, a majestic view. The personal is very friendly and helpful

There was no closet, no shelves, no hooks for clothes in the room, and the internet in the room didn't work either.

beautiful setting, location, views, breakfast was great, we had dinner there too and it was delicious and reasonably priced.

Minor things but just noting so others will know: the bed was extremely hard. the front of the room had a great view with mirrored doors, but at in the evening we were then in a kind of fishbowl. again, not huge problems, but may be helpful for other travelers.

We liked the water and the big rock view .We enjoyed the balcony in our room , great to see the lake and take nice pictures .

The extreme noise at night , we know it is not the hotel's fault , that noise was coming from a neighbor close to the hotel but anyway we couldn't sleep for 2 nights straight.?The breakfast that is included was good , dinner we paid for was not good at all .

The hotel is located at the lake, at the back of la piedra del peñol. You have the most stunning view at it, from the water (in the kajak)Delicious food is served.

The location is good to visit the piedra, but further from the center of Guatapé. You need to take the tuktuk each time. The water of the shower was not always warm.

Breakfast was good. A typical Colombian breakfast that gives you enough energy to start the day. Typically eggs and arepa or calentado. Stay was wonderful and hot to see most of guatape

Our room with one king bed could have looked a bit better. No real complaints but it was a bit playing in comparison to the others.

Location and the staff. They were extremely helpful!

Breakfast very low quality, no variety. The bedding, and desperately need updating!!

    Too noisy

The noise! The room that I had amplified all the sounds; barking dogs, noisy kids, people talking loudly, loud music coming from various sources, restaurant noises since it was just above my room. In the evening, I had to put on my noise-cancelling headphones to try to block out all the noise.

Very very close to the Rock, so, Wonderful location. Very friendly stuff, and a really delicious yet simple breakfast.

A little hidden at the beginning, can't go walking outside nearby.

It’s has a beautiful location and view.

The woman at the reception wanted to charge me a second time even though there was a note on my booking that I paid already. Also for breakfast she asked me whether I wanted coffee and I mentioned I’d like a tea instead but it wasn’t available for breakfast unfortunately.

Spacious room with lovely balcony overlooking the lake.Quiet location15 min walk to El Penol

Bathroom window couldn't be closed so bathroom was full of insects.Breakfast was only ok.

It was so peaceful and quiet, a perfect spot to relax without the crowds of tourists. I loved the view, and its proximity to Guatape town and El Peñol made it even better.

The only downside was a leak from the ceiling that dripped directly onto one of the beds.

The entrance from the main street. Is narrow. The rest was good.
