Pros +
- The location is amazing and the person who received us at check in was very nice and kind. The rooms were fine - nice balcony and nice selection of teas.Edit: After I posted my review, the owner reached out to me right away and genuinely showed interest in resolving the situation. He assured us that they will check the bed in the room we stayed in to make sure everything is in good condition for future guests. It was really nice to see how much they care about their clients, and we are certainly open to giving them a second chance.
- The room was huge but most importantly, it felt really like home, it was beautifully decorated, spotless and had all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful and even offer a free drink on the ground floor café for guests. Bathroom was fully renovated with bathtub and high pressure shower
- The cutest flat in the back of a restaurant/cafe.The room was really well appointed with kitchen gear (plates, nice glassware, pots/pans, knives etc.)Room 1 where we stayed had a loft with king bed and a separate room with two twin beds. Spacious and bright, including the bathroom. It was huge, too! Great for our group of 4!
Cons -
- Unluckily we found our bed to be super uncomfortable and the pillows are super high and puffy which makes it impossible to sleep on them. Also, there are lots of noises coming in from the rooms next to us and the building itself. It's quite annoying that the ventilator in the bathroom only stops after an hour of having turned off the light. We couldn't really sleep nor relax. Also, when checking out, they asked my husband if everything was alright; he replied saying that he did not have a good night and the two young girls who were staffing weren't even interested in what the problem was. Luckily the owner is on top of things which is a very good sign!
- Steep stairs.
- Stairs! But we quickly got used to them. And they ultimately added to the quirkiness of the hotel.

Great location, lovely room, friendly staff, free ice cream on arrival!
Steep stairs.
Super accommodating staff and very flexible! The room was spacious, super clean and very comfortable! Great value for money!
The deluxe double room with terrace is simply fantastic. Exceptionally fantastic. Thank you for the stay in a wonderful and clean room. The hotel's café is also delicious and offers a good vegan selection! (Vegan toasties ?) Wonderfully located in Nijmegen's city center. We'll definitely be back ☺️
Friendliness of staff and cleanliness of hotel. Felt very welcome from the minute we arrived. The location could not have been better
Stairs! But we quickly got used to them. And they ultimately added to the quirkiness of the hotel.
Good location in the old centre. Nice balcony facing south. Good bathroom and kitchen facilities.
The double bed in the photos is two single beds joined
The room was excellent. Very big and over looking the square. It had everything and it was clean and very comfortable.
There was no breakfast on the site but lots of possibilities nearby.
Great Location - Very Clean - Great Staff
Excellent location , Excellent Staff, very clean
The central location Check-in and check-out was easy Our room had a nice balcony Cozy room
The building is a bit noisy, so at busy times you can hear other guests walking around and up and down the stairs. The room is lovely, but a bit more storage options (like some shelves or wall hooks) would make it even better.
Perfect location, comfortable bed, nice patio area, and a decent sized shower. Tea and coffee in the room.
Staff was extremely friendly as soon as i walked in, check in was very quick and easy and i was offered a free coffee to go at check out!! :) loved it
We like hospitality and location, room with balcony was nice.
Not the greatest bed, my sleeping time wasn’t great, but in total, I love this place.
Nice staff in the cafe. Nespresso machine in room, with proper coffee.
The bedroom was overly priced, the photos made it look better. The furniture were from all over, bed was really not good and sheets of poor quality. Pillows not good. Old house so steep stairs. Deluxe is highly overrated for a description of the room. We luckily only stayed 1 night. Noticed that our preferred hotel which offered last minute was not much more expensive - but they had 1 room over and we regretted not waiting to see and book there. Bad night sleep.
Very nice and helpful staff. They reply almost immediately on booking.
Nothing really. But note that as all hotel in the area, HOLT is in a rather small building with steep stairs.
Location is great, right in the middle of the city centre. Friendly personnel, free welcome drink.

Everyone was super friendly, the location and view was unique and the apartment was super sweet and tidy - felt at home! Bedankt!
Lovely staff and great place to stay right in the heart of Nijmegen.
The door to my room was in the shared kitchen so it got loud when someone was in there. A minor complaint.
