- The staff was excellent and the breakfast very good. The room was spacious and had been uppgraded since our last visit. Overall the hotel is fantastic!Regards Lars with family.
- A very nice place, close to a lovely monastery and beautiful Hildesheim in easy reach. Cosy atmosphere and nice breakfast.
- Great place to spend the night on our way from Norway to Italy. Hospitality written with a capital ‘H’.Great breakfast and did I mention how nice these people are??
Cons -
- The only ‘minus’ was the bathroom/shower. Very hard to keep a comfortable water temperature.
- You can hear the other rooms a little bit if they're noisy, and there isn't an elevator so a degree of lugging suitcases up stairs is to be expected. It's Europe so no aircon, but that hardly matters in a country that needs heating 8 months out of the year anyway.
- Our family suite was out to the road, and thus too noisy unfortunately

Excellent staff, good breakfast and staff made eggs fresh to order. Room on the side away from the street was normal sized for Europe but with large, comfortable, good quality bed, so for once my feet didn't hang off the end of the bed and we weren't smooched up in the hot weather. Everything was clean, everything worked, and everything looked well maintained. Parking right in front of the building. The location is 2 minute by car from local villages (suburbs, really) and very quiet despite being on a road. Windows in the rooms open and are fitted with insect guards to make sure you get fresh air without getting buzzy things. The hotel itself is full of little nicknacks and nature photography is on all the walls, plus there's an actual little library in the room with the coffee maker on the first floor, so if it rains and you stay in longer than planned, you can keep yourself entertained.

Beautiful and spacious. Excellent dinner and breakfast
Our family suite was out to the road, and thus too noisy unfortunately
High quality breakfast, reasonable choice of food, traditional German + French. Ham, sausage, cheese, eggs and other cold cuts are in large variety. All is tasty and high quality. Dinner is a 3 course menu, reasonable price, super quality. I wonder why this place still didn't receive a Michelin star...
Very nicely decorated hotel with plenty of tiny details like old fashioned irons or cutting devices placed in the stairs, lots of beautiful photos and lots of cards with calligraphic handwriting.Very calm.Nice breakfasts and dinner
Nice and clean, very big bedroom and bathroom.
We booked the room late, on the date of arrival. So (understandably) the personal did not know that we would arrive. The room was not prepared for the four of us and the restaurant was full and we could not get anything to eat. That we should have checked. However, the staff did their best and fixed the extra bed quickly and informed us on alt places to eat. We did not have breakfast since it was just served from 7:30 and we wanted to leave earlier.
Very helpful staff with extremely useful tips for visiting the city. Spacious well appointed room and a useful self service guest’s annexe room. Excellent Frühstück.
Nothing to dislike.
Lovely property with welcoming staff. We were shown to our room and pleasantly surprised by the generous size! Dinner outside in the garden with our dog. Delicious food with careful attention to presentation.
Location is great. Only a few kilometres from city center. The breakfast was very good lots of choices. The staff was open to accommodate with special requests for our one year son.
clean and modern
the hotel restaurant was closed and no prior notice was given. If this would have been known I wouldn't reserve the hotel.
