They ahave a very rude receptionist with lack of hospitality and attitude unprofessional she is the most in my experience unqualified receptionist i ever seen in any hotel and any reception .. i’ve arrived at the hotel at 11:00 AM in a long distance flight I was exhausted when I’ve arrived she told me before me saying any word and with out any discussion and understanding the situation in a polite way like how professional handle a customer she told me to sit down and wait until 3:00 PM with an unbhaved and lack of attitude and I told her and explain to her that I had been in many hotels in a middle of events and many can understand the situation and helped and many discuss in a polite way but the one in novotel hilldesheim is worst I ever experienced she also threatened me to kick me out the hotel just because I’m talking about the same situation .. how did this hotel received a 4 star in what criteria and standards 0 services just help your self 0 friendliness from the staff

Good location, clean rooms.

Rooms in very rundown condition for a 4 star hotel, breakfast and parking overpriced. Some hotel staff very unfriendly.

The quality of th Bad, special shower. No bottles with water, the Internet was tragic, and no possible to work online. Constantly must be reconnected.

Despicable.

Toilet bowl had the pee drops of the previous customer, the wash basin metal parts rusty, personnel arrogant, access to parking area not working on all sides, etc.

With one exception staff were rather friendly and professional.

When I arrived at the hotel at 14:20 a very sad and unfriendly turkish guy barked at me that check-in is at 15:00 and I had to read the sign. This was my 83rd hotel stay in 2024, out of which I mostly arrived long before the official check-in time and never was sent away (it was very cold that day) and shouted at but given a room instantly (I stayed in hotels in Panama City and Forth Worth that have had let me check-in before 9:00!). His behaviour was an absolute insolence and disgrace. He even lied to me claiming that the hotel was fully booked. When I came back, however, several show-up guests were given a room without reservation. Furhermore this was a Sunday and I know that Sunday to Monday is the least booked thoughout the week.Please fire this hostile person, he is not qualified to work in a hotel!

Was a handy location.

I booked breakfast with my room. It was advertised until 1030.I was kept up all night by the room next door talking , it was echoing through the ventilation system. I was later than I had anticipated for breakfast, but got there for 0947. Thinking this gave me 45 mins to neck a coffee and a croissant or two.I was told that I was too late for breakfast as they stop letting people in at 10 I explained I still had 15 mins to go then. But she said she wanted to clear the tables. She would allow me to take some breakfast items to eat in my room.I asked for a refund of €22 (the price for breakfast) and was told I should have got there sooner...It's Christmas day. I've an 8 hour drive ahead of me. I guess I'll get a coffee and croissant from a petrol station.

Pleasant

Receptionist gave another person staying at the hotel the same room number as our room and they walked into our room and then our key stopped working - the staff were not very understanding or apologetic. Housekeeping also walked in with little to no notice.

The location is good to see the town, and rooms were nice and beds comfortable.

Expensive parking. The noise from the bar / restaurant echoed trough long corridor where the rooms were. Staff did nothing to keep noise down even when people were moving to their rooms via said corridor. We were in dire need of sleep, but people were being loud past midnight. We booked this hotel especially because the late check-out time so we could get good rest. NOUP! At the morning the cleaning staff were waking us up before 9 AM. I know we could have put the "do not disturb" sign, which I honestly forgot, but we were due to check out that day, they could have checked the reception if the room is empty. And come on, check out time was at 12! After we informed that thank you, still sleeping, the cleaners came AGAIN after an hour, just when we almost got back to sleep. My word! While the surroundings were nice, I will avoid Novotels like a plague from now on, which is not a big loss for the group since we only travel 1-2 months per year, but I will make sure I mention this to everyone who bothers to listen. Yup, very upset and cranky about this! Oh and " You should have informed the staff about the noise.." No, you do not need to be a mind-reader to realise that yelling drunken people are a disturbance.

Clean. room size.

First room no internet and closed door hanging loose. Moved to other room. Curtain loose on one side, key card switch functioned not good. After a few times it would switch, last morning noty anymore. Television was hanging in an angle.

Hardly believe it’s a 4 star hotel in terms of services or facilities as claimed.

The worst check in and check out experiences. Not only extremely slow, but the staff switched serving line jumper twice during checkin. The computer system was finally down after tries during check out, giving us two options: wait more time or leave credit number even though we provided the credit information during check in and online booking.

Good location and facilities as well as parking

Diecent hotel with a good location.

Hotel room was little bit worn out and the carpets would need thorough cleaning or replacing.

The staff ist very friendly. I was in lot of hotels, but the staff was the Most friendly staff I ever seen.

The property is very old. The curtains have holes. The bathroom is very old. The toilette doe not work properly

The location and setting of the hotel are superb. It is in a beautiful building. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast should be cheaper.

A little bit noisy and the furniture a little bit old

Excellent location, between the railway station (8 min. walk) and the city centre (8 min. walk), very easy to find when coming by train. The hotel is located in a historic U-shaped building, previously used as barracks and hospital, on the site of an ancient monastery, surrounded by a lawn and trees, which gives it a quiet atmosphere. That building has been beautifully transformed into a comfortable hotel. The room was entirely satisfying and the buffet breakfast offered a good choice.

Shower was tight, but worked well. Bar was not staffed our active.. probably good thing for my health.

The location was ok and the garden was good and silent

There was no complimentary water and very big problem for a person who arrives late.When l asked to the reception water for complimentary then they said l should use tap water which is safe however l was born in germany and l know what should l drink :((((
