About

In a quiet location at the south end of the Amalfi coast, Lloyd's Baia Hotel has a panoramic cliff-top setting above its private beach. In Vietri Sul Mare, it is a 10-minute drive from Salerno harbor. Offering beautiful views out over the Mediterranean Sea, Lloyd's Baia is ideal for driving up the Amalfi Coast. The town of Amalfi is just 20 minutes away by car. Guests can relax on the hotel's terraces and down at the beach, which is reached by a glass lift and where you have discounts on lounge chairs, towels, and sun umbrellas. Every weekend during summer, staff organize a special evening of entertainment under the stars at the beach. Breakfast is buffet style and includes lots of fresh fruit. The restaurant serves specialties from the Campania region for lunch and dinner. You can enjoy drinks in the lounge bar or out on the terrace. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. All air-conditioned, they feature a laptop-size safe, minibar and an LCD TV with satellite channels. Each one has a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries.

    Pros +

    • Some is the staff were great but reception staff and senior ones were awful, no care and unwillingness to assist.
    • The location, the beautiful building, the view, the cleanliness, the interior design, the food above all else except sensational service.
    • I LOVED THIS HOTEL!!! The service was 5-star, the restaurant was 5-star gourmet, the rooms facing the coast are 5-star., I arrived in Salerno and booked my room when I arrived, so I looked at the website and took a chance, it was like hitting the jackpot.

    Cons -

    • Everything, it’s how a hotel should not be run.
    • Pool wasn?t open
    • Misleading advertising - no pictures indicate half the rooms facing an industrial port, no pictures indicate rooms that have not been renovated and look like they?re from the 80s, no info indicates loud music until five o?clock in the morning

Elevator to the beach as the hotel is on a high cliff

Room was beautiful but the bed was surprisingly uncomfortable.

The staff in the restaurant were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. Visited the restaurant twice and the experience was consistent both times. The rest of the staff were amazing, however. We loved the ladies at the front desk and the bag boy.

    The breakfast and the view

    Great views. Friendly staff.

Transportation using cabs was not great. Uber was horrible and nonexistent.

The view is amazing and the suit we had was very spacious. Also the beach club is very nice.

It needs some updating in the room. It was clean but the furniture is a bit dated. The service was not great.

Front desk and all other staff members were very helpful and friendly. Great views from the dining room. Food was very good

Lovely hotel with private beach and beautiful sea view .. Perfect location near a bus stop and walking distance to the artistic downtown

The bland and boring breakfast room could use some interior design .. the buffet is so unattractive too

Convenient and fast access to the beach. Terrace has a great view!

Dirty room, need renovation, bathroom was dirty

Location was good. Except it’s next to a industrial shipyard. It gets loud.

    Noise, expensive beach fees

Kind of "Old style hotel", which cares about their guests.* Very delicious food in evening (half board very recommended)* Very nice and careful staff (esp. restaurant)* Room was clean and well prepared* Quite nights, even as we had the room nearby the street* Very interesting view to the harbor and sea (especially if you travel with kids)* good connection to public transportation (bus to Salerno and other locations at Amalfi coast stops in front of hotel - recommendation is to travel to that area by train (Salerno) without any car* nice walk in the evening to Vietri

Nothing serious to mention here, but probably we would have gotten lazy staying there too long ;-)There was very very few noise from the harbor in the evening (I wouldn't take this as an issue). The beaches in the area are very restricted, so don't expect low prices.

Location is good. Personal beach was nice.

The breakfast was bad. Very limited options. For a vegetarian person it was more difficult to choose what to eat. Breads with meat in it were not clearly labeled.

It was clean and the staff were friendly.

Our rooms were facing cargo embarkment point of the port and it was noisy 24 hours a day. Our bathroom smelled heavily of sewage. Breakfast is great if you have a sweet tooth but very limited for savoury/warm options.

It was a great location, but there was no clear direction for where to park. The hotel asked us to pay for car parking, which we thought was included in the price when you were a hotel guest. The breakfast was exquisite.

The hotel staff were not helpful. The hotel is more of a 2.5 star, somewhat of what it advertises itself. There were issues with the bathroom ventilation, and the hotel even stated they were aware of it all. And still gave us a room with loud ventilation noises and a broken shower door. The hotel did give us a late checkout, given we arrived late at the hotel, and the room they gave us in return for room exchange was barely with any Seaview. I nearly hurt myself as the shower door came off when I was having a shower. There was lots of noise at the hotel as there was a party. The staff were not very helpful and had no compassion at all. I was highly disappointed by this hotel.

Great location, with easy parking available. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast considering the room price.

The rooms and bathrooms were a bit dated, looked as if last updated in the 80s.

Nice hotel only the New Part. Free parking near to the center

The room was so.old and was very bad and heavy smell from the Toilett . And too laut from the Port all the time . The breakfast was too poor ,.for a hotel like this how can someone immagine that with a michellen star restaurant in the next door

    9TimPosted on: 1-27-2025

The room was quite clean, great view of the coast.

The bed probably needs to be replaced. For us personally we would have preferred a queen bed instead of a king as it would have made the room feel bigger.
