The Marthahaus Hotel offers you individually and tastefully furnished rooms in a quiet residential area of Bern, close to the city center, the main station the main train station and tram line 9 to the BEA-Expo, the Stade Wankdorf or the Postfinance Arena. Free WiFi in all areas is provided. A shared kitchen with free self-service tea and coffee making facilities are at guests' disposal 24 hours a day. The Marthahaus serves a complimentary breakfast. Many good restaurants can be found around the hotel. If you stay overnight you will also receive, you will a benefit from free public transport in Bern and surrounding area (zones 100 and 101). It was clean, quiet, and the staff was really professional & nice. The nice 24 hour coffee machine downstairs & free Bern transportation ticket were nice additions, too.
Easy to get to on public transportation and within walking to most tourist activities in Bern. Very helpful, friendly staff. Good quality breakfast included. Linens were high quality and super clean. The shared bathroom and shower was never a problem.

Cons -

No air conditioning or fan. Window could be opened either completely or not at all. Old school shutters to block out light.
