This traditional, family-run 3-star superior hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town of Mindelheim, in the Lower Allgäu region, just off the Munich-Lindau motorway, in Bavaria. The Alte Post is a former post office, which was renovated in recent years to create a modern hotel which remains mindful of its historical setting in Mindelheim. Come and savor for yourself the classic style of this hotel. Retire to the quiet luxury of the recreational rooms, or browse through the books in the in-house library. Relax here in the sauna area and solarium. Go walking in the scenic area, or hire a bicycle from the hotel, and go and explore it for yourself.

Pros +
- breakfast very good
- Large room with a large bathroom. Hotel directly in the centre of the city, a large variety of restaurants and shops are in close walking distance. Also, there's a nice path along a small river, which was ideal for a walk with our dog. Breakfast was delicious!
Cons -
- When I tried to book in they told me I have no reservation for a room. I showed her the letter from booking.com. She told me that is booking.com fault they never let Alte Post know the booking. Lucky enough they had a room for me. I hope it does not happen the next time.
