Premium Porto Maia

Nice room. Near to airport. Good Breakfast and dinner.

A little far from the centre.

Basically everything OK. Free parking. Location good in the center of Maia.

There was a strong smell of glue or similar in the third floor because of some renovation works. Luckily we did not suffer from it in our room.

Conveniently located near the airport. The food was very good, the restaurant service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable.

The air conditioning was not working, so we had to keep the window open, and there was a lot of traffic noise.

Poor service. Food choices very limited. Air conditioner didn’t work. Uncomfortable bed.

Good location right by the metro station and 10 minutes from the airport. Friendly and cheerful staff. Good value for money.

There isn't an airport shuttle (even for extra charge) but a taxi is only 25 euros and takes just 10 minutes.

Good location (handy for gymnastic comp and near to the metro), friendly staff.

Shower was frequently cold apart from the morning. Needs a bit of TLC and the bar area was unattended and needs a bit of atmosphere.

I booked a Premium Double “confirmed”By booking, and they gave me a twin room. I would never choose that option at that price. Staff was not in reception at my arrival, and had to come back as seems he input the wrong room in the card (he talked with the colleague) not an apology for wasting my time going up/down to the 9th floor. Then the twin room so disappointing. Anyway i didn’t asked for a change cause i was too tired, but if there are options in the app and one clearly says PREMIUM DOUBLE i expect that not a twin. (Bathroom was just refurbished and looked superb!)

The hotel is being renovated from top to bottom floors. I was lucky enough to get one of the newly renovated rooms after having stayed in one of the not renovated rooms a couple years ago. The difference is astonishing! Great improvement and upgrade! Congratulations!

Nothing. But management could take the opportunity to renovate the bar and restaurant as well, to make it cosier and welcoming to guests.

Refurbishment noise started at 8.30 not 9am as stated.

Room was great, freshly renewed and well done, details could be corrected, but all great, from area to the construction details.

Still a great contrast in between refurbished bedrooms wing and remaining hotel, still ongoing works, but looking good...

The room was fantastic, I was expecting something a bit smaller, but it was huge. The bathroom was amazing and the pillows on the bed were perfect

The elevator took a long time, opted for the stairs a few times

I loved the location, the hospitality of the lady and the kitchen and bedroom part.

The bathroom was very small and having limited amount of hot water wasn't very nice.

Very accessible to Porto via the metro. Free parking on site was great. The room while needing some work was comfortable & clean. The hot buffet breakfast was very nice. The reception staff were brilliant - nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to help us sort out our hire car problem.

I am sure the carpets in the room will be replaced in the renovation

AIR CONDITIONING DIDN'T WORKWINDOWS DONT OPEN.SERVED RAW CHICKEN AT EVENING MEAL, FOOD STANDARD VERY POOR. BREAKFAST A COMPLETE SHAMBLES, FOOD RUNNING OUT, COFFEE MACHINE BROKEN, NO WHERE TO SIT, LACK OF STAFF. FOOD SERVERS STILL LEFT IN DINING ROOM FROM EVENING MEAL STILL THERE AT BREAKFAST. DEFINETLY NOT 4 STAR QUALITY.

This hotel is old. The room was damp and moody. The tub/shower was a death trap with black mold around the tub. The bed had a disgusting old mattress cover, and the hallway was dark and smelly. The cost of the room was far too expensive for the quality of the facilities. I would not recommend this hotel.

good dinner and breakfast! the staff is really nice.

Since you couldn't open the windows without asking the stuff for it, the room was incredible humid. Not sure if there was a filter system in the bathroom but I haven't found one and so there was more humidity after showering. Also there was a strong smell of perfume in the room when I entered it. Probably it can't go away either when the windows stay close.

Location and space

Starting to look old. Door didn’t open . We had to wait for it to get sorted which took us 30 min when it could have been checked by the hotel before we arrive .
