Tenuta di Castellaro Winery & Resort

An absolutely stunning property with best views on Lipari. Takes 15 minutes to drive to get there from the city center, but it is very much worth it. Beautiful villas with amazing design. A lot of activities on site-wine tasting, etc. with a very good on site restaurant. Staff (Barbara. Michela and others) are wonderful, always ready to help with any requests and arrangements. Hard to imagine a better stay, very much recommended!

Our stay at Tenuta di Castellaro was exceptional in every way. The location is awe inspiring, the service impeccable, and the elegant minimalist decor well suited to the majesty of the natural setting. The newly opened restaurant offered innovative and memorable dishes. Barbara and her staff care about the environment, their guests, their land, their wine, their culture and each other. It was truly a magical place to visit.

The accommodation we booked consisted of an independent building in the middle of the vineyard, approximately a 15 minute walk from the main winery. This meant that the silence was exceptional and we enjoyed being woken up by bird song. The accommodation itself was beautifully kitted out, with additional amenities in the bathroom to enhance the stay. The view of the other islands from the patio was one of the highlights, and having small fridge and coffee and tea making facilities a real bonus. Travelling there out of season probably helped to enhance the sense of tranquility, but meant we weren't able to make the most of the outdoor bathtub which must quite the treat during warmer months.

Only room for improvement would be the option for meals on the property (other than breakfast). Excited to return once there is a restaurant on the property.

Beautiful location and resort ! The staff was wonderful knowledgeable and very friendly.

There is not a restaurant at the resort but the friendly staff was able to arrange dinner for us as well as a ride in each direction! They did offer breakfast which was lovely.

We stayed in Obsidiana and it is farther from the winery than the other two vacation homes so it is more private. The deck has an amazing sunset view. The products for use in the rooms are wonderful. The breakfast here is amazing. The staff are over the top friendly. The wine tour is mind blowing and the wines are delicious.

There is nothing but perfection for the passion that they put into every detail.

Could use better lightening, bed tables with lamps for reading.

This small vineyard hotel was a real find. The setting of the hotel is impressive and facing west you get great sunset views. The villa was very modern and comfortable. The breakfast was great and their wines are a must try. Overall can’t fault this place- a highlight of the trip.The vineyard is located on the bus route between Lipari and Quattropani, so is easy to reach on public transport! Just tell the bus driver where you are going!

most modern winery we’ve ever been to. all has been built to the highest standards of quality and sustainability. exceptional sunset wine tasting at 35€ per person. architecture of the extremely remote, lonely cabin is outstanding.
