Hotel Aktea

Concetta at the front desk was very sweet and helpful, as well as the wonderful staff in the beautiful dining area. The cleaning staff were also very sweet and helpful and did a wonderful job taking care of my room.

As I experienced in most of Sicily (26 days), the mattresses are not like home, but I think that is just how it is there.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Aktea very much! It is very clean everywhere! The whole facility was tastefully built, decorated and pleasant, the outer grounds featured many trees, hedges and flower-bushes which were nicely cared for. Location is very convenient, and staff very friendly and accommodating!! My family has some dietary issues and staff cared to provide the necessary specifics and services.Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Beds were very good size and quality. AC was good. Privacy of our outer space was ok and very close to the pools. Very relaxed atmosphere around the pool as well! Pool bar was convenient and offered light refreshments over the day when the restaurant paused. Bathroom and Pool Towels were clean and tidy. Parasols were opened every morning for the comfort of their guests. Lovely mix of ages of people present when we were there.

Unfortunately our AC had limited function and it got quite warm in the room. There was no a-la card breakfast option but it was possible to ask for some scrambled egg serving.

Located next to a power plant with diesel engine, that creates noise all day and night.No beach in 400 meters distance as stated.Quite old fashioned and worn rooms.

A wonderful resort hotel with excellent staff and facilities. The pool is big and well designed and the bar staff were excellent and really knew how to make a cocktail. My room was large and comfortable with a great balcony and refreshingly cool air conditioning. You're located about 3 minutes from the main street so you're just far enough away for a stay.

Everything was great but maybe breakfast could have some extra options that are more palatable to international guests.. but it was still very nice.

Clean, friendly hotel within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the ferry.The hotel was closing for the winter the day we left so it was very quiet.

The hotel was beautiful and very easily located to the port and main street to eat or shop. The girls at front desk were extremely helpful and friendly.

A bit disappointed about the sun umbrellas, when was windy they couldn’t open it and it was very very hot for a few days and not shadow at all. We were expose under sun in pick hours and with a 3 years old and an elderly woman it wasn’t the best. Also they should put a bit of music and organise a mini club for the kids just to entertaining them a bit more and make parents stays more enjoyable ?

Location & pool - although you are around the most amazing water it is nice to have a pool to relax in the hot Italian summer. Great cocktails!!

The location, beautiful territory, and amazing pool area (however, we didn't use it because of the weather) We had a room with our own entrance and lovely terrace, and we loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful. My sister had her birthday during the stay, and she was given birthday cupcakes with a birthday card at breakfast time; it was super nice!! Thank you for doing that!

Breakfasts are significantly essential for me when staying at the hotel. I was unpleasantly surprised by the quality and low variety of breakfast in Aktea...There was no coffee machine - not a good coffee (tasted like instant coffee) served from a thermos, a few cakes, two kinds of cheese, two types of ham, boiled eggs, and some fruits. When I asked for two scrambled eggs, a waitress gave me a bill for 12 euros...I mean, really?! In a 4-star hotel, scrambled eggs cannot be extra! We stayed for three nights, and we were upset about having that breakfast every morning. The croissants were good, though, but more is needed. Also, the restaurant menu was unattractive, with nothing to choose from, so we ate at the restaurants nearby.I also didn't like that still water (0.5 per person each day as per 4-star hotel service) was not offered. Instead, it costs 2 euro per bottle.
