    Pros +

    • This location is pure paradise on Lipari Island. Beautiful cliff beach, great swimming pool and pretty flowers on hotel property. The bathroom has old cool tiles and beautiful balcony view to the ocean.
    • The hotel is adults only and is quiet. Wonderful place to relax and unwind. Breakfast is also amazing, enough variety to suit everyone. And swimming in the Tyrrhenian right below the hotel is an experience, no beach, just steps, and into the sea.
    • The property is strategically located with beautiful views of the bay and of Marina Corta, which was within walking distance. For the feast of San Bartolomeo, we walked to the feast and then walked back to the hotel for a beautiful full frontal view of the midnight fireworks. The interior of the hotel and the grounds are magical and alluring.

    Cons -

    • The mattress is bad! Me and my mom had horrible back pain after staying there for a week. Gym is super old and rusty, very disappointing. Please update your gym!
    • The walking. Driving in Lipari Is a nightmare, walking is 99% uphill. Must bring walking shoes! Restaurant and bar are a bit pricey. Place is showing age, could use a bit of upkeep. Water is a scarce resource, when it takes over 13 minutes to just get tepid water, not a way to save water.
    • There is a steep incline to the entrance of the hotel

Gorgeous location and property. Views, pool and ocean access. Easy walk to town center.

Dinner was very disappointing and no effort was made to rectify.

The atmosphere, friendly staff, location. Everything was perfect

People and staff are excellent. Very nice. Location is a short walk to the main piazza. There is a rocky sholl with stairs for access - Fantastic. Excellent stay.

Driveway up to the hotel is steep , but that also puta the hotel in a fantastic position and great views. If you are walking up the driveway, it's a slow walk

Carrasco Hotel is a true gem. The location is stunning surrounded by nature, with a peaceful garden perfect for working or relaxing. Watching the sunrise from the pool was absolutely spectacular and the private access to the sea made it truly special .The team is warm, attentive & caring .The food was unbelievably tasty, and the whole experience felt both luxurious and authentic. Sicily’s energy is unique, and this place captures it perfectly.I will definitely return. Highly recommended!

Amazing! We had a view to the sea and it was spectacular. Snorkeling is easy to do here. Just rent snorkel, goggles and fins at the dive shop for 5 euro each. We saw an octopus and many other fish. The pool is beautiful and relaxing. The decor is very retro and older aesthetic, but I liked it. Front desk is a helpful guide for booking excursions and answering questions.

Paying 10 euro each way for taxi. We walked (which is not far, but there is a serious hill to climb) but my parents could not so they paid for a ride each day. Can get expensive. The drinks are pricey here too. Nice to sip by the pool, but we went to town for cheaper beverages and food.

Besides the view, I can’t say I liked much else at this property.

Cobwebs all over light fixtures, dark hallways, smelly rooms. We arrived and walked down to the pool to grab a snack and it was dark and dingy in the bar area with no staff around. We felt very uncomfortable our entire stay and ultimately ended up departing early.

Incredible view! The proximity to the sea was great. We were able to swim and snorkel right from the hotel.

The hotel was a bit dated. The plumbing needed maintenance. Only one faucet in the sink worked and the shower never got warm.

Location and pool area was fabulous- apart from uncomfortable sun loungers

Service was not good. Breakfast was terrible and staff difficult to find and to get to do anything. Had to search draws for cutlery- anything that looked good was all gone - apart from cakes. Room was lovely and spacious but very dated. Someone else’s tie clippings were on our balcony!

Location fantastic. 10 min walk to town. View was wonderful and the hotel had a lot of charm. We had top floor and modern bathroom but paid for it. Other bathrooms i heard from other guests need updating Staff were great and happy to assist.

Breakfast wasn’t great or the coffee, worst so far on our Italy trip. Didn’t try lunch or dinner but heard it was better than breakfast. Had to pay for flimsy pool towels without being told - no info in the room about it WiFi hardly worked and or kept dropping out Staff we spoke with also disgruntled and frustrated with management. The Hotel owners need to listen to their staff and guests feedback

Excellent staff, very friendly and very helpful. Brilliant location, wonderful swimming and dining areas, and close enough to walk into town yet far enough away to be peaceful

    8ReneePosted on: 9-16-2024

The location is stunning and don't forget to make use of the private beach to swim in the ocean... glorious. Pool was great too, excellent temperature and plenty of sun lounges to relax and eat/drink the day away. We were very appreciative of the upgrade to a room with a balcony so we could have our coffees taking in the lovely view. Air-conditioning was excellent (and very necessary). Shuttle pick up and drop off from the ferry port is a plus! Breakfast was varied and plentiful, a great way to start the day.

The hotel has plans for a massive and well-overdue upgrade, but I wonder how much the rooms will cost then... for the price we paid, the room was satisfactory but the bathroom felt like a dungeon - there was a very dim light and you couldn't really see in the shower. The meals at the restaurant were expensive and just ok.

the location was great beautiful views and the staff so nice.

my room was not in good shape the two lights did not work , the lamp shade was actually broken with holes .. not a 4 star hotel it needs remodeling and repairs ..

    7KarolinaPosted on: 9-10-2024

The location is superb, a short walk from the center but on that cliff with that view, it was fantastic! Also, it’s true that the rooms are dated, but for me that just adds to the charm of the place, but that’s very individual taste I guess. The shuttle from the Marina was a nice add-on.

We stayed while there was a wedding going on, which itself is not a problem, even tough we couldn’t use the pool area for a whole day, but more importantly we felt like the staff and everyone was only focussed on them and neglected the other guests. Reception wasn’t really helpful. It was our honeymoon so we also wanted to be treated well. The bathrooms do really need an update, while everything else is still in great shape, the bathrooms are simple due for renovation.

Location, seaviews, and access down to the sea

A little dated, but location makes up for it

    9MattPosted on: 8-30-2024

Excellent location, unique property and excellent service! The service could not have been better. It was nice to have access to the ocean from the pool area. Breakfast was good.

    5LouisePosted on: 8-23-2024

The only good thing about this place is the position and view. It is run down and service was bad. A few good staff but others looked like they didn’t want to be there. A renovation is planned but in the meantime it is overpriced

Bathrooms are dark and small. Shuttle bus only available for transfers so cabs needed to get into town. Restaurant food inedible .
