Hotel Villaggio Stromboli - isola di Stromboli

The stunning setting (and views) and beautiful design. Staff were super helpful in communications and organising transport to and from the hotel. I haven't seen other hotels on Stromboli but this must be one of the best.

The hotel layout is like a small city - many connected spaces, levels, decks, etc. I loved it. The view outside our room was a lava seacliff with waves crashing down below (and a small beach to access). The restaurant was good (and open), and the shuttle service was prompt and efficient. The hotel was experienced with early arrivals on the ferry and made it clear when our room would be ready - it was ready earlier!

The main issue is that walking around Stromboli's narrow lanes is a bit of a challenge, so once at the hotel, you tend to stay there. Fortunately the hotel grounds are vast and spectacularly planted, with sea views, quiet spaces, food and drink, etc.

The room was dated, cold and very damp with an extremely uncomfortable mattress. It also smelt bad,, because of the damp I think.

Great location with amazing views of the sea as far as you can see! Also has access to a small beach area to swim and the sea is clear and beautiful. We also had a lovely breakfast each morning. Really friendly and helpful reception staff and a great shuttle service from the ferry port.

We had a room that could be connecting so a little noise from the other room and also noise from the roof terrace above us too. May have been more of an issue in the height of summer but was fine in April.

Great beach location and away from the crowds. Check-in was easy and they were very helpful to show us where everything was on the property. Small beach just down some steps, great place for swimming. Breakfast was very good. Room overall wasn't anything special but good enough for a shower and sleep.

Bathroom shower was a bit flimsy but worked.

Fantastic location right on the coast with steps down to little beach. Terrace outside room with tables and chairs to sit out at. Good aircon, good shower. Small fridge in room. Breakfast was nice. Room quite compact

10 euro fee for pool so just went in the sea, didn't see anyone using the pool! Little distance from ferry and centre of town but we knew this and wanted to be on the coast.

Staff not especially friendly.In restaurant, staff grudgingly cleared us a table with a sea view.Told that staff in restaurant would stay open for when we got back from Stromboli walk at 10.00pm but they said that they closed at 9.30pm.Ridiculous that had to pay extra to use hotel pool!

Breathtaking view of the sea, gorgeous property filled with healthy plants. Very convenient restaurant with friendly, accommodating staff. We LOVED staying here & will absolutely love to come back in the future.

Completely GLORIOUS! I will definitely be going back - the view is the best view I have ever had from a hotel. The pool was fabulous - not so much the 10Eur charge to use it or the surly pool man ;-)

The two private beaches are great. Breakfast is fine, stuff is friendly and professional. Environment is really beautiful. The cinema under the starts is a great idea!

The hotel is located on the coastline with a very small private black sand beach, and a swimming overlooking the ocean and beach. it has very beautiful and spacious public areas, a few restaurants, lounges sitting places, sofa bed, all facing either the ocean or the Stromboli volcano. the property has very beautiful gardens, and many plants it is absolutely beautiful just walk around. The room is very basic, but with such spacious and optional choice of public areas, I think no one will stay in the room during their stay.The hotel is 10-15mins walk to the town center or pier, so very easy to walk around.

nothing, wish the room is more spacious and Morden, but I would not stay in the room even it is much better

Over the top, incredibly beautiful location with beachfront ocean views of gorgeous volcanic rock formations and easy access to 2 uncrowded beaches. Rooms are simple but adequate and we were outside most of the time anyway. Food was delicious. Flowers/trees gorgeous. Island itself was lovely overall.

Had to pay extra per day to use the pool, and had to wear bathing caps, which they provided.

Amazing location, very clean and fresh with friendly staff and the most fantastic views.
