Antwerp City Hostel

Great location. Nice continental breakfast. Very good value for money considering the central location.

The place overall was very noisy from the bars below, the noise lasted till 4am which was a bit too much. There was only one toilet and was used by both females and males which is not the most ideal. The ladies shower, even though u needed a card to access it, there was a male taking a shower in there which made me and my friend feel unsafe. The place and the people that were in the hostel were also dodgy and shady, coming back a bit late made me and my friends feel unsafe too. There was a lot of men that would just stare at us (we’re girls) while we were brushing our teeth’s and while we were entering our rooms.

The geographical placement

Everything. The hostel is smelling very bad. Showers are dirty. Bed isn't comfortable at all. Breakfast low quality and dishes aren't hygienic.

The place is located in a very nice area with a central location. It is a positive point that breakfast is available, of acceptable quality (in exchange, you can wash the dishes yourself).

Cleaning is superficial, there is a bad smell in the stairwell, and the biggest problem is that the place has BED BUGS, so you can worry about whether you take them home with you! Due to the central location, the area is noisy, which becomes worse on weekends.

The price was reasonable and was in the center.

The beds were a little strange, and I would like them to be curtains.

The blankets were terribly dirty, they only change the coating of the blanket and the blanket as such was very very dirty

The location is perfect, and staff is nice.

The bed is too noisy and soft. Outside also too noisy.

Excellent location, but that’s where the positives end.

Unclean and dirty rooms and showers. Had a really creepy guy in the room, woke me up multiple times by having a shouting argument with another woman in the room. Showers quite gross and lights flickering on and off the whole time.

Once in the room I felt safe

When checking in the staff was bit odd and made me uncomfortable. It was noisy, as it is in the city centre, and right above a club

Clean, tidy, peaceful and nice environment. Wonderful location.

The staff let us check in early, and were super helpful when our keycards stopped working. The facilities were all as described, and the view from our room was lovely.

The beds were fairly poor, and two strangers in our room had to share a divided double bed in the loft. The scaffolding fire escape out the window was also slightly concerning.
