Pros +
- Amazing property, in an amazing location, with the most wonderful hosts, and an incredible chef. My home away from home! Rooms are beautifully designed, architectural with great amenities. This is THE best spot in Antwerp to stay, closeby are the best coffee shops, boutiques and musea/galleries. Not to forget, this is very good value-for-money!
- artsy and comfortable hotel near to everything, very welcoming staff too.
- Stylish, trendy, modern, excellent location for my work the next day
Cons -
- This is a boutique-city hotel. Do not expect Gym or Spa services within the property. But the concierge is incredibly knowledgeable and can recommend all you need nearby!
- there was a little construction work, but it didn't really bother us.
- Wooden floors mean noise carries ie footsteps next door, quite hard bed

Stylish, trendy, modern, excellent location for my work the next day

Great room with view, excellent location with plenty of bars restaurants and shops nearby. Kind staff.
Little dusty due to renovations, but these were almost finished.
Great aesthetics in the room. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Great staff.
cold sink tap in our room! and a bit of privacy with the sink/shower room. Hotel bar charges for tap water. (but there is complimentary water in room which is good)
it is a room belongs to a restaurant, the hotel room is more like a model room to show the room design, the art painting.
lack of maintenance, the shower room faucet was totally rusty i don't know how to turn off the light switcher works in the room
Amazing Property, large rooms, beautiful art.Needs a little TLC, but would stay again .
Just needs touch ups on fixtures
The location was great, the staff is very friendly and the rooms were big. It was so nice that there were a lot of terrasjes in front!
The light system in the room was a little complicated to figure out but no big deal.
Beautiful interior design, modern.
Loud. Both street as other guest diving in the tub in the middle of the night kept us up
Location is good and near the city center
My stay at Hotel Pilar was extremely disappointing due to a serious security breach. During our stay, my mother’s valuable jewelry was stolen from her suitcase.Despite multiple attempts to contact the hotel management via phone and email, we received no response. This lack of communication and concern for our situation is unacceptable and unprofessional. We expected a prompt and serious response from the hotel management to address this issue. Unfortunately, their complete lack of responsiveness has left us deeply disappointed and in shock.I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider their stay at Hotel Pilar due to the significant security risks and the management’s disregard for guest concerns.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely convenient for the event I was attending. Good size bath towels.
Room and bathroom totally impractical. Nowhere in shower to put toiletries; nowhere in bathroom to hang towels or dressing gown; rain shower flooded bathroom floor; water in basin didn't drain away; mirror too dark; no reading light beside bed; no comfortable chair; no TV.
Location, room (size, design, window view), cleanliness.
There is nothing in particular to mention.
The location is great! The staff is friendlyIt was all super clean
-The breakfast wasn’t good, croissant & orange juice weren’t fresh and it was super expensive.-The room was outdated and the bathroom was very dark-Waterboiler for tea & tv we’re missing in my room. -Lot of noise in my room during the night from a ventilator which I couldn’t turn off manually.-You can’t open a window in your room and it needed some fresh air- and you can’t open the blinds fully which is a shame because the view is quite nice and it feels a bit trapped.
Great location, cosy and very clean rooms. Great facilities.
Breakfast good but expensive in comparison with surrounding cafes. Location excellent - really nice area with lots of interesting eateries, museum & park. Hotel staff a team of really friendly & helpful young people. Room clean & stylish.
Information about how to use the coffee machine would have been helpful as would info on the pictogram by the door. I couldn't signal that I didn't want to be disturbed. I also had a tv but no remte control & the staff couldn't find one. Also the subdued mood lighting made it difficult to see after dark!
Really lovely staff especially the cleaning staff all so friendly. Needs some looking at re lights working , just some general maintenance in particular toilet seat broken . This is a gorgeous property not much needs to make it excellent
Position was good and the staff was nice
Few broken parts of the bath and lighting
Really good location, nice atmosphere real friendly people.\
But the room needed renovation big time. A lot of cracks in the floor and the ceiling.
Welcoming and helpful staffParticularly good‘granola’ dish for breakfast Attractive cafe/restaurant area V. pleased to be offered passes for the museum
Strangest bath/shower arrangement I have ever encountered. Actually not usable for the shorter person. Needs attention as could be a hazard
Good breakfast, great location, friendly staff!
My room was smelling of mould and there was no possibility to open any window for ventilation, with the air con it was really cold. The towels had stains on them as well. It was clear I had 'the cheap room'.
