    Pros +

    • The main hall is truly magnificent, with its diverse styles and rich colors creating a highly luxurious appearance. Furthermore, the service and the breakfast are truly outstanding.
    • The rooms were amazingly designed. The breakfast was amazing. And the location was great too. It's not in a traditional hotel district -- you're kind of living with the locals!
    • From the moment I arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The service was nothing short of spectacular—thoughtful without being overbearing. Breakfast was a luxurious affair, clearly curated with care and quality, like dining at a top-tier restaurant where every plate was a piece of art.Speaking of art: the entire space felt like a living, breathing modern exhibition. Colors, textures, and design elements flowed together in a visual feast that delighted the senses at every turn. Yet, despite all the style, the ambiance was warm and welcoming—like staying in someone’s impeccably designed, high-end home where you’re treated like a VIP but given complete privacy. The staff struck the perfect balance of friendliness and non-intrusiveness. It was hospitality at its best.

    Cons -

    • The room was nice, but the finishing details fell short of a true four-star quality.
    • The top floor in our 2 floor unit was empty, so there wasn't really a reason to go in it. Would be cool to decorate it and put yoga mats or something up there.
    • Maybe wifi could be a bit better in the rooms

Very nice design and large rooms. Felt a bit outdated and not truly luxury

Parking was a big challenging but nice to have it available the common areas were nice but the room could be better

Liked virtually everything - a lot of care has gone into the experience and staff were excellent . The light switches in the room were an experience to themselves! Less liked - no lift to the floor in our part of the building ( room 10) not a major issue for us but should be shown on room details.

Our experience at Hotel De was truly outstanding! The service was impeccable — the staff went above and beyond to assist us with everything, from restaurant recommendations and bookings to seamless taxi and train transfers. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and always eager to help. The location is unbeatable, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with comfortable beds that ensured a restful night's sleep. The hotel's fun and modern decor added an extra touch of charm to our stay. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and top-notch service!

one drawback was the ventilation issue. Our room was located two floors above the hotel restaurant, and at times, the smell from the restaurant made its way into our space. Because of this, I would not recommend staying in rooms directly above the restaurant.

Beautifully and uniquely decorated rooms and general areas. Great personal touches with turndown, messages, minibar etc. Perfect discreet service. Great location. Really helpful front of house and reception staff.

Only small niggle was that breakfast was quite expensive and slow.

Eclectic decoration in all the rooms puts this hotel miles ahead of any standard “Holiday Inn”. Despite our really short stay, the staff did everything above and beyond to make sure we optimised our time and had a great trip. All the major sights are within 10-20 minutes walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful property and a great staff. They helped us with the tickets and a number of other matters. Be sure to have the breakfast regardless of the price if you can.

Superb hotel with amazing decor in a great location. Everyone was so helpful and made our stay very special. Lovely breakfast cooked to order with lots of special touches. Will definitely be back,

We were royally welcomed on the late night of the 12th of September. Friendly, professional, warm chat — thank you so much !Great sleep — and thank you for putting finally coffee machine in the room !!!

Parking and breakfast are hugely overpriced — but it’s fine when you have goosens with their patisseries and viennoiseries in 7’ walk !

Super central location, amazing garden inside the hotel, our room was like from the Alice in Wonderland fairytale , really loved it and surely will come back. The guy who worked late night in the hotel and served us cocktails and tea was friendly and attentive to every detail!

    Everything is great

Great location close to main market square, but beautifully quiet. Really cool decor, very colourful. Complimentary mini bar (beer, soft drinks), sweets, apples, nice touches. Bed was super comfortable, lovely pillows! Good bar, and pretty quiet patio, so lots of options to relax. A small hotel, very discreet, staff really helpful. There is a restaurant but we didn’t try it.

The breakfast could have been better - there was a reasonable selection, but small quantities and the fruit on offer was limited. The hot food was excellent though, and couldn’t fault the service.

A lovely hotel in a quiet location, yet only a 5 min walk from the beautiful old town. The staff were fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for you.

This is a beautiful small boutique hotel, everything about it is done with class, style, matching staff and food. It's a small hotel so it has a small number of staff and they do everything including opening doors, help with luggage, serving you a bar drink, operating breakfast, ... all of it with dedication - bravo to them. I was told the owner actually decorated and I could only say WAW, I loved everything about it including the friends art and paintings on the wall.

The parking is available but a slight challenge to get in and out although possible but not with an overly big car. Other then I can't think of a criticism or remark.

Small quality boutique hotel with wonderful staff

Breakfast pricing was very high even by Belgium standards.

    6EkkhardPosted on: 6-2-2024

Location next to the center, free mini bar, good beds.

The hotel was understaffed when we stayed there; had to ask twice in the breakfast room to be able to check out. There was only one chair for two guests, so one had to sit on the bed. A narrow ancient staircase in the middle of the room led to a gallery with a lonely table (without chair). No curtains, i.e. the night ended at 4:30.
