B&B HOTEL Calenzano First

The staff were rude and unwelcoming, both when we arrived and at checkout. The location is awful for pedestrians. The room was incredibly hot, the a/c didn?t work, and the room was full of mosquitoes.

The room was a good size.

The hallway upon entering smelled of smoke. The AC worked and after 2 hours began leaking on the floor, and continued all night. The shower doors did not keep water in, and it made a mess.

we stay int this 9/5/23 and 9/14/23, the first time we find out tv and A/C not working, I request to fix it. they fix tv right away and for A/C took them 24 hours and several times requested. second time, TV not working again and no phone in the room.

It had a restaurant and a pool.

The room was very warm. We switched rooms after the first night and it was still too hot. Maybe around 80°F. It never got to a good temperature and made it hard to sleep.

It was better than described. The shower was excellent. The breakfast was good, it was close to the train and the bus.

It took over 30 minutes to get into town. The pool was closed.

Too hot to stay in the room

The AC didn’t work at all. Hotel and room were extremely hot. Not screens on the windows so mosquitoes came in and bit us.

Working nearby. Great place to stay for it. Not many guests at time so it was quiet but staff were very helpful and kept the restaurant open for a late meal.

Pictures looks good but in reality its very old , old furniture and rooms , bad smell in reception and parts of hotel , breakfast was fine and staff 100% good .

Needs to be modernised !!!

I stayed here many times so there is nothing new to write home about. I always choose it for being a good value for money hotel, offering comfy rooms, good breakfast and free parking. There are a few restaurants and bars nearby. For those who want to visit Florence, there is a train station at less than 10 minutes walk (Pratignone) with trains going each hour to Firenze S.Maria Novella and it costs abobut 3 euro each way.

Thin walls, you can hear each word that somebody else speaks in the room nearby. Some of the rooms could use a little bit of restoration. In october 2024 the price is two times higher compared to the same period of 2023.

Hotel is near the MW and has private parking lot.

The hotel needs to be renovated, especially bathrooms.

This was our third time here, very convenient if you travel by car, very close to motorway, friendly staff, clean all round.

Breakfast reasonable,bacon and scrambled eggs were cold no means of keeping it hot. We had to wait for a long time for our main course (strange reason given for the delay).

The room was like an oven. No air conditioning, things inside the room were already broken

The staff is friendly.

The building is very old in general. The ventilation system is old and dusty. The air conditioner in our room did not work. The whole room was dusty. Terrible soundproofing, at 7am I was woken up by a dog barking from the room on my floor. Breakfast with limited choice and an unpleasant smell.

Parking and location

Need to be refreshed (leaking in the WC and the shower, Ac doesn’t work at all I asked them to fixe it or change the room the day it’s central in all rooms the same ) the store fall in the afternoon o ask them for reparations so the guy come and say he will be back but he didn’t, in the morning I asked again they was surprised they they didn’t fixed in the same day and they change the room for me and surprise the AC was working in this room but it was raining in the room ?? I think from their AC sure I say nothing because it’s old we can see the humidity in the wall and I was leaning the day after) and the pool not clean at all, and also no one speak English or French or other language then Italian unless the reception
