Burg Windeck ***S

Beautiful area with great views and good food at the restaurant. The 2 twin bed room was set up wonderfully for my friend and I. Staff was very nice and got us in for dinner just in time. Food and wine were tasty!

The hotel is in a very good spot, the view is spectacular, the whole complex is very cute. On a clear we were able to see Strasburg cathedral.

After our last day’s breakfast, I wanted to take a walk in the yard and have some juice, so I took a small bottle of juice with me on my way out, the waiter very rudely took it from me and looked at me like I’m a thief… I mean we stayed there for several nights, ate almost all dinners there, spending towards 1k euro in the facility… a tiny bottle of drink?

We didn’t have good weather, but the staff was extremely nice and helpful, breakfast was excellent and next time we will also enjoy the view.

It has a stunning view and the buildings and rooms were fabulous. The beds are very comfortable and it was everything we hoped for and more.

The location is incredible, with amazing views out over the Rhine Valley and woodland with plenty of interesting walking trails directly behind the hotel. The building is old & the decor is traditional but nothing feels dated; everything is clean and well maintained. The room was cozy & featured a 4-poster bed. The restaurant serves an excellent menu with lots of different dishes including vegetarian & vegan options. Dogs are welcome in the room & at dinner. There is a sauna & fitness suite in the basement which is accesible to all guests and can be privately booked for 90 min sessions. Most importantly, all of the staff were extremely friendly & competent and made us feel very welcome.

Not the easiest place to reach if you don't have a car, but there are buses available from Bühl. However, you can only get one back to town if you phone in advance to request it, and on the day we left there wasn't one available. We took a taxi back to the station instead, which was fine but quite expensive.The TV in the room is quite small by modern standards, with no satellite or streaming services, but it wasn't a big deal - there is plenty to do here in nature rather than stay in & watch TV!The restaurant is relatively expensive, but the food is delicious & portions are generous, so you get what you pay for.

The view from the room was absolutely stunning, making my stay feel special.The staff behavior was excellent. They were attentive, polite, and always willing to help, which made the overall experience much better.

The breakfast was quite normal and could use a bit more variety or excitement. It wasn’t bad, just a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the experience.

Fantastic venue next to a castle with amazing views and superb food

Amazing location with a fantastic view, the staff is super friendly and helpful, dinner was also very nice with a relaxed atmosphere, good food and wine. Rooms are spacious and very clean.

Breakfast was OK. Location was fine but there were roadworks and diversions.

Had known restaurant was closing at 5pm on the day of our arrival, did not realise this meant the whole place was empty. No staff, key left in an envelope in night entrance, no details about breakfast times. Parking was down the hill, so we had to carry our luggage up and hope car was OK with all our belongings.

A really nice place with an awesome view. The Panorama restaurant offers great local cuisine and excellent service. Breakfast was great as well.

We had a two-storey family room and the bathroom was only on the second level. Was expected though.

Minor issue: The room was in a different house than the reception and the breakfast venue. The parking is a little far. Given the bad weather would be more enjoyable to have both nearby.

Beautiful quaint old castle hotel was great! Dinner there also great!
