Kneipp-Kurhotel Steinle

Very central and we had a nice room.

We thought that this hotel was unfortunately overpriced considering it is very old fashioned. We chose this hotel partly because there was a spa and gym, but the machines in the Fitness Studio were extremely old and many were either broken or didn’t work properly. The sauna and pool were too small and could not cater for the amount of guests in the hotel. Staff could have been more attentive and welcoming towards guests. WiFi reception was poor.

Everything was great! Family hotel, great spa area, nice stuff, whatever was needed (and I needed a few things) was immediately met and provided - plus I got an unexpected upgrade on arrival! Looking forward to coming back soon!

The room was big and clean, with a balcony. It had a living-like area, with a sofa with a coffee table, two armchairs with a small desk where you could relax, read or work on.The breakfast-buffet was plentiful, it had a good amount of variety and the staff was very attentive. The dinner was also very good with a nice selection of wines.There is a small jacuzzi pool, a medium-sized swimming pool, hot and infrared saunas and a relaxing area with massaging chairs. It also has a fitness room, although we didn't used it.Bonus point to consider: they have 2 EV charging stations and you could ask the reception to start the charging session for a fee.Definitely coming back for some more :)

It was too hot, there was no air conditioning, and there were a lot of mosquitoes after opening the window. I only stayed in the hotel for 1 hour and checked out immediately.

We liked our stay very much. Great spa zone and swimming pool. Very nice owner, we arrived too late to eat in the hotel so he took us to city center and recommended very good restaurant.

The Internet connection was poor and we were waiting too long for the dinner.

The furnishings of the room and balcony are practical and well maintained, although not the latest. The breakfast was very good, the wellness area with the pool contributed to our well-being.

Mr. Steinle charged our electric car with the hotel’s wall-box and fiddled around with the charging cable on our car while there was an issue with charging, without our permission. After that, the car had to be towed away by the ADAC. He was very impolite, denied any wrongdoing, and refused to help. He even wanted to charge extra money because we were stuck in his hotel while we had to arrange how to get home. It is a shame to encounter such people in locations where one wants to enjoy time off. Unfortunately, this overshadowed everything else, including the fact that the rooms were not cleaned and the toilet leaked water, which was not fixed even after we informed the staff. However, we would like to acknowledge the lady at the reception and the lady in the restaurant for their polite behavior.

Owner/Manager extremely welcoming despite our late arrival. We were travelling with Mountain Bikes and he kindly stored them safely in his garage attached to the building. The Hitel had mosquito nets which was great to stay cool at night abd grest favilities.

They go out of their way to make one’s stay as nice as possible.There is also something of an exceptional value at the hotel: soothing silence. This, now rather rare phenomenon is really highly appreciated.The Steinle Hotel offers the luxury of no unnecessary background music. The sauna and the pool give the hotel a touch of excellence .Finally , the buffet breakfast is great with the possibility of getting eggs, on request.

Very nice family run hotel, our room wad spacious and comfy, the breakfast was delicious!

Was looking for hotel with fitness, this matched my expectations.

In fitness, there was no wifi coverage, but managed to solve that myself.

The property was really close to the Therme, only 4-5 min drive. The room we stayed at was also spacious, the bed was comfortable. The decor is very quaint and a bit old fashioned but it’s charming too.

The only bad thing is that the room we were in smelled like cigarette smoke upon entry. Once inside the room and opening the windows, the smell was less prominent and didn’t bother us. The hotel says very clearly that smoking in the rooms is not allowed, but this room smelled like someone broke that rule, which is a pity.

Lovely big room, with good furniture. Friendly staff. Really good leisure Keller. We could have very happily stayed twice as long!

No catering for vegans at (eg vegan milk/ ham) for breakfast. No facilities for making hot drinks in room. Plenty of complimentary bottled water in the room would have been a nice touch.
