Good location, comfortable, Good breakfast and good parking. Will use again as stopover.

Hotel a little tired. No proper bar or lounge area or tea/ coffee facilities in room.

The breakfast was continental only & good selectionSome nice touches like mini crepes and the unusual Edible wafer pots for jams etc I'd not seen before! Fresh orange juicer was great, staff member was helpful when asked for more cereal bowls. Our actual bed was really comfortable which was a silver lining and we all slept well. Location. Good to walk to town over the river.

The hotel decor itself just covers a really old dated building and the photos make it look soo much nicer than it is. The bar is sooo small and it's in the 'reception' which is an informal table not inviting cosy area. The corridors have awful tacky carpet the place stank of old smoke/cigarettes walking through which you often get but it lingers. The toilets on ground floor are awful so dated needs good refurbishment. Location ok except the family room with view of the castle doesn't mention there's schools and a college separating the view that you look out on. Yes the castle in the distance is nice view. But it's a tired building. The first receptionist was not particularly warm and welcoming on arrival but a different lady on departure was really lovely and friendly and was making jokes with other residents and offered to take a photo of us.

Great location with good parking. Clean comfortable rooms with a good bathroom. Easy check in and out with helpful staff.

The general appearance is tiered. Property could do with a coat of paint and a tidy up. Breakfast was very basic but did the job.

Comfortable room and on site parking was a bonus. Hotel was in a peaceful location a short walk from the town.

Air conditioning in room was useless-it worked intermittently & threw out hot air! Breakfast was chaotic & items weren't replaced when they ran out. Wifi was very poor and only worked in public areas. Lack of signage on finding the hotel & the access road is very dark at night.

The location of this hotel is one of it’s only benefits

Staff were so obnoxious. From the passive aggressive signs in the lift (query if IBIS know they are there) to the breakfast staff who were exceptionally rude when we dared to ask for some food and plates and glasses and cups and cutlery. This was at 8.45am- breakfast was until 11am

The hotel was a short walk from the town. It was clean and comfortable and well priced. The pool was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The a/c in our room barely functioned.

located about 30 minutes walk from the town centre and next to a lake and country side this hotel is on the outskirts of chinon...make sure you have binoculars if you book the castle view rooms as the castle is a fair way away..the south side rooms have a country side view which we preferred. ,breakfast is a continental type and enjoyable.the pool area has had a minor refurb and is clean and tidy..only 6 sunbeds though.. theres a super u supermarket some 25 minutes walk/10 mins car ride southwards and a large e.lercrec and aldi on the north side of the town ..the castle is a popular tourist attraction.

the air conditioning has one outside unit supplying a whole block and one person puts the ac to 'heat' then the whole block will get heat which isnt pleasant if its 30 degrees outside..if this happens then you need to go to reception where they have a master control screen and they can override and turn you ac back on..

Staff were really nice and welcoming. Location was good. 15 minute stroll into town. Comfortable bedroom with nice view Nice meal .Good location for cycling. We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay.

Hotel looked a bit tired. Outside terrace was scruffy, Hotel probably needs a refurbishment. Still enjoyed our stay though.

Location, bedroom & access to the outdoor swimming pool.

We stayed for three nights, second morning the pastries for breakfast were "overdone".Concern over hotels delay to allowing Booking.com online access until end of February (all other Hotels booked prior to Christmas 2023.)

    8DavidPosted on: 5-31-2024

A nice hotel in a good location, a short walk from the main town. Friendly and helpful staff.

    5SaraPosted on: 5-11-2024

The room was small and not clean as suppose to be . We found a lot of dust. Spiders and not really clean carpet also balcony was extremely dirty. No way you could seat outside . Parking space limited . Staff not really able to communicate in English.

Dirty No English speaker( just the minimum what need to be said when check in ) Limited parking space

Good room with a balcony with pretty country views. Nice walk into the old town. Lovely evening meal and breakfast included in a very reasonably priced room.

Separate toilet a little dingy and cramped but functional.

Excellent location. Good, clean hotel. Friendly staff.

Would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room. Possibly light refreshments served in the evening at week-ends, especially Sunday. We

Excellent breakfast - comfortable bed - good shower - very friendly staff -

Small radiator could be more efficient and warmer.

    9AndrewPosted on: 10-26-2023

Convenient to drive to the town. Friendly staff. Good value for a one night stop.

Although clean, the hotel could do with a makeover and some TLC. In places it’s a little run down and dingy.

    Location, breakfast, staff, parking

The way to Parking place is too dark

    9JamesPosted on: 10-7-2023

Nice large clean rooms, with a large comfortable bed. A very good shower, although in a bath.. The surroundings were very pleasant and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful.

One would have preferred a walk in shower, because climbing in and out of a bath can be tricky if slightly disabled.
