Hotel Szeleta

The hotel was very comfortable, well worth the price! Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Our stay was during the winter, so not many attractions were open. The rooms were clean with a nice view to the mountains!

The breakfast was not very accommodating for individuals with food allergies/ sensitivities. There was a wide selection of deli meats, cheeses and breads, though they were not of the best quality. As someone with a gluten and dairy intolerance I could not consume a lot of things that were there.

Very warm, nice and cosy room with very comfortable king bed. We lived heated floor very much indeed. Buffet breakfast was excellent! Everything one needs for a breakfast was there. Everything fresh and tasty. I love Hungarian salami and cheese, bread coffee. Staff exceptionally nice and professional. Nice neighbourhood. At a creek, in mountains and national park. Easy access from Miskolc.

Nothing, as everything to me was perfect!

This was a return trip having stayed here a few years ago. There has been a lot of refurb work under taken which was needed. Nice large comfortable room over looking the mountains, under floor heating through out, new shower unit.Ideal place if you like walking/hiking or just chilling out. No problem recommending the hotel, Polite front desk staff, plenty of free parking. Breakfast as per photo's, nothing out of the ordinary. Excellent eatery down the road also another one next to the Palota Hotel up the hill.

No problems with the stay (3 nights). Might return at some time but during the summer months.

The area, the building, the staff - everything is absolutely all right. The breakfast is more than proper for a 3x hotel.

The room was too warm during the night, the heating should be reser a bit lower.

Old-fashioned look of the building but modern feconstruction inside. Excellent small pool for refreshment in hot weather. Good breakfast, goog room, good beds. Quiet place and excellent position in the valley in the National park, good starting place for hiking and trips in the centre of the mountain.

Breakfast could a bit more vary.

The man at the reception was pleasant, even though we couldn't understand each other.There is a fridge in the room.The swimming pool is nice.

This place advertises parking, but there is none.They advertise air conditioning, but you have to pay extra if you want to use it. They advertise CCTV but don't have any. The front door buzzer is broken, so if you arrive and don't have a phone, you'll be waiting a long time. The front door lock is also broken, so anyone can walk in. The beds are the old kind with metal springs that you can feel.There is lots of extra furniture in the bedroom, making it difficult to navigate.The toilet paper is the kind that you pull out one rectangle sheet at a time.

The location is the best, near Molnar Csárda and 2 bus stops from the Hámori tó. The breakfast is good enough, simple but with good variety. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The installation could be cleaner, the bathroom shower was absolutely moldy. The pool also could be cleaner, as this is an outside pool there is a lot of debris. There are no ventilators in the room even during summer.

I knew that I wanted to visit Lillafured but, beyond that, I didn't know much. Hotel Szeleta turned out to be an excellent find. For me, the Palota Lillafured was completely out of my budget-range... but Hotel Szeleta was not :) . Hotel Szeleta and Lillafured are easily reached from Miskolc... I took the tramway from the train station all of the way to the end, and then transferred to Bus 5 or Bus 15, both of which head up to Lillafured. Hotel Szeleta is in a pretty town in the valley called Also-Hamor, so downstream from Lillafured. I think it was about 1- 1.5 km to walk to Lillafured by way of Felso-Hamor, another pretty town with the stream running through it. I was able to have a reasonable lunch at the restaurant in Palota and could walk their beautiful grounds... so it all worked out. In Also Hamor, there appeared to be some restaurants geared toward tourists... but as it was off-season they were not open yet.

I visited in April. In the summer, there is a swimming pool as well as a sauna and a salt room at Hotel Szeleta. Maybe I can come back in the summer some time to enjoy all of those perks!

Friendly staff, good beds. Breakfast was ok. Bathroom was a bit old. Location very good if you want to explore Lillafüred.

Good base to explore Lillafüred and the Bükk hills. Beautiful scenery, located in a valley by a creek. Very clean and tidy place. The staff is kind and helpful. The room is relatively spacious, the bed was are comfortable.

Relatively close to the main road. The breakfast selection was not very wide. No elevator, headroom is decreased by the slanted roof.

Free sauna. Friendly and helpful receptionists. Comfortable bed. Proximity to good restaurant.Close to public transport.

The location is excellent, amazing for hiking and exploring the surroundings. There is a restaurant next to the hotel but it closes at 7 The centre wasn't far away( we had a car) ..The price was very good ,the hotel was clean yet very very old

The breakfast was too limited ,There is no bolier or coffee maker or iron box even upon request ..The hotel is very old and needs renovation

the receptionists were helpful and polite. The room was warm, the bed was warm.There is a restaurant right next to the buildings. Handy for suppers.The brook is right next to the hotel garden, with a small waterfall. Bus stop is 2 min walk. The main road is right next to the hotel.

As it was mentioned before they have room for improvment on the cleanliness. The fact the room smelled of bleach does not compansate the fluffs and hair in the bedlinen, the black dust on the towel-drier/rack, the same behind the telly (when I turned then I noticed). Mildew around the windows, in the bathroom and on the tiles.

The Hotel is 20min walking from Lillafured and it is located in a very quiet zone. There is restaurant next to the hotel. The facilities were quite nice, room was a bit small and bed a bit hard but overall it was OK for a couple of nights, and sauna is great! Breakfast was quite decent with a bit of everything. And the best of all, the staff was extremelly helpfull and kind!

The location is really nice if you are looking for something close to nature. Good starting point to explore the surrounding famous sights.

The facilities are really worn down and breakfast was below average.One particularly bad aspect was that the lights in the courtyard were shining the whole night, directly into our room, and the curtains were by far not dark enough, we could barely sleep. Even though we asked for them to be switched off after the first night, the situation didn't change for the second night.

Nice hotel, but in need of renovation. It was comfortable, the staff was great, the breakfast was satisfying. Parking is spacious, the nature around the building is beautiful. Recommendations!

Breakfast could be more varied.

Excellent location if you want to go for a hike in the mountains, there is a restaurant in the doorstep of the hotel with not much traffic and with excellent food and staff. The traffic is very low in December, so if you love hiking, wait for the snow, book a room in december and let's go!

The edge of the shower tray wasn't clean enough, not saying it was moldy, but it wasn't clean either. And please for the love of god, turn down the floor heating in the bathroom, it was like hell in there. If you want to see more of Lillafüred, you have to pretty much hop in a car or bus to get to lake Hámori, otherwise you are stuck walking at the side of the road as there is no proper direct walking route to Lillafüred from this hotel (except through hiking of course).
