Unique experience to stay in an old monastery, beautiful scenery, we came in winter, spring or summer should be more beautiful.

Dinner is kind expensive compared to its taste, but there’s no other choice nearby.

If you want to experience an Italian monastery with all it has to offer (beautiful rural views, historical preservation of the facility, perfectly preserved baroque chapel, great big garden, outdoor lounging areas) from a comfort of a well-maintained hotel, this is the place. A flexibility of offered services like conference rooms, bike / e-bike rental as well as arranging private events is a big plus too. Great breakfast options with a lovely view overlooking the gardens. In-hotel shop selling local produce: wine, honey and olive oil.

Bathroom cleanliness could have been revised slightly, though it was all still up to a satisfying standard.

Beautiful grounds, above average breakfast, large room, nice bar, excellent staff.

An elevator would have been nice, but the staff helped us with our bags, so it was no big deal. We were not really close to Sienna, but the beautiful countryside made up for it.

Certosa di Pontignano is an unique place, where history and nature combine perfectly. Excellent service. The apartment was very clean, spacious and the beds very comfortable.

The location is absolutely stunning. The whole property and garden is gorgeous. Very reading stay in heavenly place. Love the gardens, chapel and beautiful balconies with a view.

Very small shower and no place to hang a towels. Still it was not a big deal.

Can’t complain about anything.

We stayed in a clean, well-kept room. I found this as a last-minute decision when driving through, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The breakfast was great, and all the staff we encountered were very kind. I would happily stay again!

Everything perfect! Large and clean room, friendly staff, outstanding breakfast. The whole certosa is monumental and it is worth the visit, there is so much to explore around. I will definitely go back in summer!

The location, the staff, and the hotel grounds. This hotel is in heart of Tuscany close to the town of Siena making is great hub to explore the Tuscan villages. Also sitting a bit high on the hill top the views are great. Being a 600 plus year old property it takes you back in time. It has modern touches added to it for our comfort without losing its rustic and historic feel. The grounds are well kept and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Has an apartment which was very spacious and very comfortable.

Couple of minor things. I visited in the end of December so it was cold and had very well heated apartment. Too well in fact. But I did not see any AC. That might be an issue in Summer. Secondly being such an old properly some (not all) of the apartments do not have a very convenient layout. For instance we had a three bedroom apartment with one bath. Two beds were on the second level with the bath on the first. The stair case was a narrow spiral one. But that would not deter me from staying here again. Not in winters anyways.

Amazing historical building, beautiful garden and inner yard with old trees

The entire structure is amazing, seems going back in time and everything is very well maintained. The location is about 20min from Siena city center in the middle of woods with a beautiful view over hills. It would be a perfect location for a wedding.

The room was a little aged with a small and not stylish bathroom. Few years ago I stayed in a much better room

For the price it was offered, you won't get better. Offered season, quiet and empty.

Walls a bit thin, sounds from other guests. Minimal issue.
