Hotel La Torricella

Very close proximity to the Tarot Garden and the lovely hilltop town of Capalbio and seaside town of Porto Santo Stefano. A great restaurant with the most elaborate continental breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.

It was fine, not was what we expected but for one night stop it was fine. Easy to get off of the highway. Breakfast was ok.

Their check in time is very late, check in time, 6:00 pm is late to be able to check in! Seemed to be more of a bar then a hotel. Window looked onto the patio but had no black out curtains. People on the patio could view into your room.

Excellent restaurant. Well located, not far from the Tarot Garden but also from the "Ultima Spiegga" beach and in the vicinity of the nice city of Capalbio.

Location

The receptionist came inside the room 5 min before checking out time, as mentioned in the advert 10:30am, he started knocking very hard on the door in an aggressive way and screaming, we were shocked, this is not a way of talking to your customers. Besides this point, they do not provide any shampoo or soap.

Avoid it. Stinky rooms and bad restaurant

In the room strong smell of cigarette, we couldn't keep the window open because it was on a terrace where some people, maybe from other rooms were walking.We had dinner in their restaurant and only at the end I understood why on a Friday evening there were only a few tables. We ordered two "Tagliata", one rear one very rear. They served one well done and one rear. When I told the waiter (the owner son), he told me that He had misunderstood. We ordered some local herbal liqueur and a bottle of water to take to the room. We were charged for everything, including the water and no a word of apology for the steak which I shared with some nice pussycats. The day after we went to Capalbio were we had again Tagliata which it was perfectly cooked and ...... cheaper.

Decent breakfast, good position

The hotel doesn’t give you the best impression at beginning when you arrive because is on the Aurelia street, so you hear the cars running all the time, but the room was really clean and comfortable and the staff was kind and helpful. We booked the room “indipendent with the garden view” so the noise of the cars was not a problem at all for us at night. The best thing of the hotel is that it is well connected with the highlights of the area like Capalbio city, the beaches of Capalbio, Giardino dei Tarocchi, Lago di Burano and it is on the Aurelia street toward Argentario.

Close to the highway, nonethess quite. Large free parking area just in front. Tasty and abudant breakfast.

The only improvement I would suggest, is to change the color of the walls and to put a blackout curtain
