Resort Capalbio

The restaurant food is wonderful. The service is very good as well. I have medium length hair which would take me too long to dry with their room blow dryer. The front desk clerk offered me a larger one they had stored. That is A+ service. Ask and you shall receive.

The cottage itself is lovely and spacious, the grounds have many amenities that are good for teens and young families. Very clean. Lots of parking.

The food at the restaurant for the small portions are pricey, and selection is very limited. There is nowhere on site to purchase items for cooking/light meal or water. The doors to the cottage have a difficult to use lock. The lack of a washer and dryer in unit is a shame, as it would be very helpful. They need to add a mini market on site with some fresh items like fruits, and a kids menu.

Great resort and amenities. We stayed in a cottage with large rooms, very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Staff is very friendly as well.

Good location and clean

Tried to double charge us for the stay noting that the ammount paid via booking was a 50% advance. Breakfast was just cereal and some confections.

Nice cottage, clean and roomy. Quiet. Air conditioning worked well.

There's loud music at the bar by the pool. Not the thing you want in such place in the Tuscan countryside. It's quite a massive holiday resort. Too big for my taste. Just different expectations, it does his job for many for sure.

I really enjoyed Resort Capalbio, I spent three spectacular days, surrounded by greenery, a swimming pool, a great restaurant, and amazing quiet. The rooms were very clean, the kitchen was equipped with all the necessary tools. I will definitely recommend this location for any kind of vacation. It is also very close to the sea, just a few km. I think I will come back for a week next summer!

Delicious breakfast ! Toddler approved too! Thank you Mama Loves Italy for suggesting Resort Capalbio on your blog! We just ended our first 3 nights of our 2 week trip with our 16-month old. Resort Capalbio was just what we needed after a long 12-hour flight from California and to adjust to the time difference. They have a delicious restaurant, pool, bar area, play area and tennis courts, etc all on-site, creating a relaxed introduction to the country for us. Customer service was incredible. We had a comfortable room with a private enclosed patio area, which was perfect for our daughter to run around and for adults to spend time while bambina slept as an extended “living area”. The shower had a detachable shower head which worked well to bathe the baby instead of a bath. The beach and town were only 10 minutes away with hardly anyone at the beach. We spent our first day driving around beautiful Ortobello for a car nap. I think it’s interesting to note that we didn’t meet any other Americans at the resort or beach too! Most guests were Italian with a few German families. We really enjoyed the quiet, less touristy getaway before our next trips to Florence and Rome. Thank you!

Good accommodation, amazing food & wine at the restaurant, fantastic personnel at the reception & in the restaurant, who made this stay even much better.This resort is quite short drive away from many sights, including terme & all the beauty, Tuscany has to offer. Really grateful for everything!

Clean, pretty “country club” type of property. The room was nice, spacious. The buffet breakfast was tasty, and plentiful. We were hot and hoping to enjoy the pool.

Not really problems, but annoyances. This property is in the middle of nowhere. The Wifi sucks. Virtually unable to get connected, and when you did get on, you’d get kicked off in 1-2 minutes. All guests/members having to wear swim caps at the pool? Come on, guys. That’s something they did in 1930s, or if you happen to be on a swim team. So we sat on the edge of the pool, water up to our knees, unable to swim because the lifeguard was made to enforce this ridiculous rule.

Cleaned and stylish room. We had a free upgrade which was appreciated. Free tennis court

Breakfast was lucking fresh products (there were mainly cereals and biscuits). The room was super cold and no heating. However I guess both were because it was low season and in the middle of the week, so I think it may be a better place for summer holiday instead.
