    Pros +

    • Excelent breakfast, nice location, friendly staff
    • An old fort at great location overlooking Danube. Amazing views. But due to the heritage building, facilities are limited. Good for a short stay. Amazing for exit festival as nothing is as closer than this fort to the festival camp.
    • I like this place. When I go Novi Sad I choose this hotel usually. Extramly friendly staff. Breakfast is good. Room is also comfortable, clean and good. I prefer the city view, but I have no problem with the frotress view as well. I was on the garni side (2nd floor) which also good but the first floor is very nice, romantic and peacefull. Young staff helpfull in the breakfast/restaurant area, but the girl in the reception is helpfull and lovely. The hotel on the top of the city. I offer it for everybody.

    Cons -

    • Room size, bed (we ecpected king size...wasnt king size...for one pers was ok) Tv didnt work. All i all nice hotel by not at that price range
    • Old beddings and linen, poor A/c units, little plug points etc.. may be due to the old fort design. Limited F&B options and menu choices.
    • I really like everything here. One thing that is not disturbing but rather strange is that when there is a big storm/wind, the 2nd floor is the noisiest (Garni side).

The hotel is very beautiful, located in an old fortress.Room's furniture very cozy and classical.Nearby restaurants with discount for guests.Biggest compliment goest to the staff, very friendly and polite.Location is extremely quiet and rooms with river view have amazing view of the river and of the city.

    - Excellent location in a wonderful old fortress.- View on the Danube from the windows.- Nice and helpful staff.

    - The infrastructure looks old: a couple of times during our stay, there was no electricity in the room for a couple of hours.

    The location is stunning

The lack of coffee/tea facilities in the bedroom and the breakfast was ordinary

Plenty of parking space right in front of the hotel, once you've fought your way past all the tourists trying to park in the limited public spaces!

The hotel is all about the location, the history of the building and maintaining that historical style, so you have to forgive minor shortcomings where modern life doesn't quite fit in e.g. lack of any available usable power sockets in the room and uncomfortable seating. It's probably also worth me pointing out that I had a Junior Suite in which the bed is not of modern length. I'm only about 1.8 metres tall and my feet reached the end bed frame - just a warning to any taller people (I'm sure there are longer beds in other rooms).Breakfast wasn't great. Anything that should be hot I would describe as tepid, even the hot water.

Receptionist was first classMy husband wanted a river view but we had booked a fortress twin roomOn booking.com a river suite was very discounted for our night so I asked if we could change our room to it at the reduced rate with little expectation ….Attitude was yes of course no problem! Amazing and so was the suite

All perfectThe hotel’s restaurant was fabulous tooCarlos, so so much better than the restaurant next to it

It was perfect to stay here for our tour in Novi Sad. Petrovaradin has a lot to offer. The hotel was really lovely, it was calm, our juniour suite has a good size. The Danube view was enjoyable. Breakfast was wonderfull, parking was in front of the hotel. Some areas would benefit from a little cosmetic renovation, but we found it charming.:-)

The location is great, the close-by restaurant at the same fortress is great as well. General appearance of the hotel, the lobby, etc. is nice. The minibar is good, the staff is good. The view from the hotel and the nearby restaurant's terrace is quite nice.

Nothing that mattered in particular, we were able to live with everything.Breakfast is generally OK, but it could use more frequent refilling of the things which were consumed. We took a suite, so I presume it is not a tipical room, but the additional bed for the kids has seen better days.

Very nice room, with river view, quiet place, large bed.The personnel exceptionally professional and polite.Superb breakfast. Overall an amazing experience of luxury.

Beautifully located within the fortress, Hotel Leopold overlooks the Danube and the city of Novi Sad. The room was tastefully furnished, breakfast buffet was very good.

The riverwiew is spoiled by a dirty mosquito net and an even dirtier ventilator that takes half of the view. Our room was very small and full of furniture. The bed was absolutely too narrow for two people.

    8DeirdrePosted on: 9-4-2024

Beautiful location and decor. Friendly staff.

Breakfast buffet was quite cold - needs to be replenished more often.

A fabulous hotel located right on the river, with fantastic views of the sunset. It was like taking a step back in time with the furnishings and decoration. The hotel is huge, with multiple hallways and spaces to explore. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well catered.

It is a non-smoking hotel, so everyone (including staff and locals possibly, was hard to tell but some had cushions and appeared to be settled in for a day of drinking and smoking) stands right at the open front doors and smokes. As the doors are open, the smoke then wafts into the reception area. There were other areas very close by the hotel that would suit for smoking and ensure guests who are non-smokers do not get covered in smoke every time they enter and exit the hotel.

Great location on top of the fortress hill overlooking the city. The hotel is like an old villa with parlors furnished with antiques on both sides of the front desk. Beautiful floor tile and carpets throughout the hotel. Our room had a view of the Danube River. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We loved eating at the terrace cafe in the evenings with cocktails at sunset to watch the sun sink over the city and river.

Although the property has the best view in town, it's a 15 minute walk to the center of town. If you choose to walk back uphill to the fortress, there are 200 steps to hike up to the top. However, a cab was only about 4 Euros to the hotel and that was our chosen method for the return.

Wonderful hotel in a historical place of the city! Located in a fortress on the high bank of the Danube, with an unforgettable view of Novi Sad. Authentic hotel atmosphere, very rich breakfast. Two wonderful restaurants directly next to the hotel. Everything makes your stay at the hotel extremely comfortable! Comfortable bed and good quality bed linen! I recommend it for a holiday for a few days!

This is an amazing building with exceptional location. Most stuff is kind and friendly.

Unfortunately the facilities are a bit run down and could use renovation. Beds are not very comfortable.

    6AntonPosted on: 5-24-2024

It is in a quiet location

Poor quality breakfast - haven’t had such quality for quite some time, especially if you compare it with the price I paid (accommodation is getting outrageously expensive during Novi Sad Fair. Furniture and everything in the hotel feels very dated and hence doesn’t feel clean

    9Aleksandar28110Posted on: 5-22-2024

A beautiful hotel located in the heart of my fortress. The lounges are decorated with antique furniture and beautiful curtains. It's a place that takes us back in time. The suite was magnificent, with an alcove bed. The breakfast included was delicious. We had a great choice of food and drink.

It's a shame to have installed the air conditioners on the windows, because you can't close the lovely wooden shutters any more. The curtains in the bedrooms would have to be adapted to keep the room dark at night.
