Hotel Wintergarten

It was a good stay overall. The rooms were renovated and looked great. The breakfast was simple, but the restaurant was excellent. The location was convenient — just about a 10-minute walk from Schladming Bahnhof.

There was no water heater or coffee maker in the room, which would have been a nice addition and helpful for making hot coffee or tea in the room.

Great location. Central and 10 mins walk to planai or 10 mins walk to planai west. Very clean and comfortable and the WiFi was great. Staff were wonderful. The breakfast was great and we ate in the restaurant for two nights and it was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again. A shame I haven’t found it before!!

Location was excellent, 10 minutes walk from both planai and planai west and about 5 minutes into town. Staff were excellent, breakfast was delicious and the food and service in the restaurant was fantastic. I’ve been holidaying in schladming for 12 years and wish I’d found it earlier!

The manager and booking person were both very helpful with the accommodations and at the restaurant on site. They also went out of their way to help with a travel issue not related to the hotel.

A big astray filled with cigatettbuts was left on the balcony. No coffee, water, fridge.

Nothing extra in room: could not make a cup of coffee/Tea and the room did not even have drinking glasses or shower cream. Basically it was just a bed and a bathroom. But modern and clean.

On arrival, Milan the host showed us where we could park our car for free and had his colleague shuttle us there and back in his car.

Fine hotel in the center of Schladming. Proximity to Planai and heated room for ski-boots.

It would be useful to have a sign ‘do not disturb’ or ‘no cleaning needed’ on the door. I stayed 3 days and didn’t need cleaning at all. It’s unnecessary strong chemical smell after cleaning as well. (I tried to explain to the housekeeping lady first day, she seemed to understand but the next day my room was cleaned again while I was at breakfast)Stupid to complain about too much cleaning so it is more of a good to have:)

Steep stairs with no elevator, weird door labeling (outside door named "toilets"), too few staff - personnel complaining they're too busy.

This was a relaxed hotel with very friendly staff. We had a large room with balcony and a lovely view above surrounding buildings to the mountains. Breakfast was fine but the food in the restaurant was really good, and well priced.

Tea and coffee making facilites in the room, and a Summer Card would have made our experience even better.

The hotel is well located in the center of the old town, just a 7 minute walk to Planai where you can store your skis and boots in a locker for 9 euros per day. Breakfast was fine with cold cuts, breads,. fruit, yogurt, muesli and boiled eggs. The hotel's restaurant has great pizza and lasagna and a good Weiner Schnitzel...salad too was tasty. The other nights I ate burgers at Maria's Mexican which is Wirth a visit.The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and easy-going, giving a particular nod to the property manager, Janett, and to waiter, Frank, who was always there to serve up a good dinner with a smile and a wonderfully jovial sense of humor!

The mattress was a little soft but not to a problematic degree. I moved to the other side of the bed and it was better. Scrambled eggs for breakfast are always my favorite during a ski trip, but if the hotel doesn't serve them I don't bother asking, so not really a negative, just an observation. :-)

Great location at the heart of Schladming. Good facilities for ski storage and boot drying. Really nice and friendly and attentive staff. Restaurant Wintergarten offers nice meals, pizza, pasta etc for a good price. Breakfast variety excellent. Bathroom has a lot of storage space.

Need to think hard but maybe having some hooks in the room to hang jackets and skiing clothes would be good. If you don’t have a car you need to be aware that you need walk a few minutes to either the ski bus stop or further to the lift station.

Location is great, 3 walking min from the city center and 10 walking min from the ski lift. The staff is extra friendly. The breakfast was very good. There is a free parking place. The room is large and comfortable.

The best hotel from my train trip from Czech rep. to Croatia. Friendly staff, good restaurant, great room, everything was fine.
