Cons -
- There is no air condition in the hotel, so we slept with the windows open. Dinner was bad for our opinion.
- This may of once been a 4* hotel, now I would say it's just about a 3*. The interior is extremely dated, clean and comfortable but very dated. This was our 4th year in Austria and the SPA is the worst we've had, extremely small, dated and has none of the finer touches a 4* should have. We are used to fresh tea and fruit along with a quiet area with nice loungers. Instead, a cramped space with deck chairs and white plastic cups everywhere because the bin is too small. It's also in the heart of the hotel far far away from the pool.I will mention we were disappointed with the pool, via BOOKING.com it looks great and it wasn't until we arrived that we realised it's a public pool with direct access to the hotel. Because of this it was busy everyday even our daughter who is 8 complained about how many people were there. On the hotels website it does state it's a public pool but not on BOOKING. If we had known we would not of booked this hotel as it is not a relaxing place, most days people were sitting on the floor due to not enough seating. The hotel put on snacks at 1530 everyday which is great but was extremely basic for a 4* hotel. One day we had stale mini croissants. The boot room was very small and cramped and for a 4* hotel I would expect individual lockers rather than a shared space where anyone could access your gear. Our assigned waiter was not good. Constantly forgot things, for 6 days we had to get a 3rd glass for our table and some days our own water. It got so bad we made a complaint and that helped but it was other waiters serving us and not the one assigned to us. Also, one of the biggest issues was our table location in the corner covered by the salad bar and coffee machine. So for the New Years Celebrations and live music we could not see anything (see picture). We felt like out of sight out of mind not something you want to feel like when you've paid a premium and staying for 11 nights.
- The gentleman at the reception was informative but not friendly. The location was away from the main area. We had requested a room with balcony and view but sadly it viewed the parking lot. I would not book this hotel again. Adequate best describes.

We needed to modify our reservations last minute and had limited choices and this hotel was adequate. Breakfast was typical Austrian. Room was large. Away from the crowds.
The gentleman at the reception was informative but not friendly. The location was away from the main area. We had requested a room with balcony and view but sadly it viewed the parking lot. I would not book this hotel again. Adequate best describes.
The property is clean, neat, nicely decorated and well maintained. The swimming pools both outdoor and indoor are absolutely fantastic.
The only one thing which bothered me was sound isolation. My room was in the first floor directly above the discotheque and load music in the night was irritating. Ideally the sound isolation system in the newly built Hotel is very high but that was not the case here.
There are so many activities to do. Squash, tennis, gym, sauna, bowling, shooting, swimming. The swimming pool is really big, it has a quite big slide. The saunas are good, with Finn, bio , infra and steam saunas. The room is bigger than we anticipated. The breakfast buffet has many selections. Overall really good experience.
The food was delicious. Buffets for all courses. Large selection
the opening hours for all the entertainment (pool, spa, dinner, etc.) was too short
Hotel food exceptional, great facilities for family l, lovely staff.
Location near Schladming resort and the pool. Great amenities.
The price was expensive.
The location is amazing. I liked the swimming pool very much. Amazing breakfast, very attentive staff ?
Perfectly clean
The hotel does not have a pool, they offer free acces from the hotel to the public pool.It would be nice if they would offer free access to the public gym hall, otherwise their gym hall is very poorThe coffee they sell was terrible
Clean, spacious room, breakfast great and al a carte menu good.
No tea/ coffee making facilities in room.
Great surprising breakfast, the room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is not new and the decor was not up-to-date. But if you love antique furniture you will love it.
Old carpet , though very clean. There wasn't a kattle in the room
Very well located, tons of things to do at the hotel, lovely staff and good food
The rooms don't have AC which could be problematic on warm days, but we asked for a fan and that solved it
Big rooms. Great pool. Well organised. Great service. Great breakfast
Looks old.
It was nice breakfast. Good swimming pool for children. There are two swimming pool. So children really had a great time.Hotel room is crean.I was very satisfied with this hotel.I enjoyed everything. I will go to this hotel again if I have chance. There is a McDonald's not far from hotel.Bar is in the hotel, easy to enjoy drinkingStaffs are very kindReasonable priceFree packing lot inside of hotel
We liked the excellent breakfast, the huge room and the sport & wellness facilities of the hotel.
Great breakfast buffet, the Royer is a very old school 70's style hotel, but does have modern conviniences. It is quite something to see and charming in its way. The staff are lovely and I loved the food and drinks. Its also very close to Planai ski fields and has a shuttle service directly to the gondola.
Good location. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
A bit old style hotel. Outdated wellness. Pool water was too cold.
Nice territory, swimming pools, multifarious breakfast
