Pros +
- Very nice hotel in a central location, close to restaurants and the Planai cable car. The receptionist was wonderful and recommended a visit to the glacier — an unforgettable experience. The included Summer Card was a great perk, covering multiple cable cars, buses, and more. One drawback: the rooms do not have air conditioning. To improve guest comfort, the hotel should consider providing floor fans during the warmer months. Otherwise, a highly recommended place to stay!
- The location (within walking distance from the train station, the ski rental and Planai Stadion Lift). We loved the design and the cleanliness of the superior room with balcony and the after ski spa. Both the breakfast and the à la carte dinner are delicious. Friendly, professional staff.
- Great location in the city center, within walking distance to the ski slope, nice interior, pleasant staff.Don't skip breakfast!
Cons -
- The lack of air conditioning kind of defeats the purpose of the blackout curtains and the pretty good sound isolation, as we ended up keeping the balcony door open almost all the time to get at least some fresh air. There is no AC in any of the Schladming hotels, as far as we saw, but it would still be a huge improvement if the hotel decides to install it.The main thing we felt really uncomfortable with were the smokers. The ground floor restaurant has ash trays and there is very often someone smoking there. And although our room was on the 2nd floor, we had a really hard time balancing the need for fresh air and the need to rush and shut the balcony door to keep the smoke out. It would be perfect if the smokers had a separate area a bit further from the rooms to smoke, otherwise it's quite a challenge for non-smokers.The bathroom is really tiny. This is something you should definitely keep in mind, if you're used to a spacious bathroom at home. So no sharp movements, or you'll constantly bump into things.
- Room was very tiny. Balcony could have been made cozier.
- The balcony was extremely small, we had problems with sitting 2 people there, this was a bit disappointing.

Nice spa and great breakfast. Also th receptionist was super nice!
Location, friendly staff, nice rooms, comfortable bed
The location is great: very close (ca. 7 min walk) to the Planai cable road, the local shopping center, and the bus stop for buses to Dachstein and other destinations. The room was quite spacious, we also had a balcony with a nice view. The bed was rather soft which is really great, as our backs didn't hurt like in other hotels.Good blackout curtains. The breakfast was good, with a lot of cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables, cereals, a couple of warm dishes, yoghurts, fruit, breads. The hotel staff was nice, they even provided a tea kettle for us when I asked. That was a really nice touch.A huge advantage of this hotel is that they are a part of the Sommercard program, and give you Sommercards, which are plastic cards with your names and the dates of your stay on them. These cards give you free access to all local buses and 1 round trip on a cable car of your choosing per day, which is super great value. We got back more than half of our hotel stay cost thanks to this. The cards are valid throughout your stay (after 1 pm on the day of arrival, and the whole day on the day of departure).

Location is perfect, we walked to the shops. Town is beautiful and serene. Had dinner out twice, great options very closeby. Breakfast was great, many options!
Room was very tiny. Balcony could have been made cozier.
The hotel room was really clean and good. The breakfast was super delicious and the hotel is perfectly located
The balcony was extremely small, we had problems with sitting 2 people there, this was a bit disappointing.
Lady at the desk checked for us some very important information considering possibility of carpark by the DachsteinBahn.
Excellent location, very good services, quality restaurant. Very good breakfast.
The standard rooms have a very small bathroom.
The location, the design and the breakfast
The tiny shower
We really enjoyed our one-night stay at this great hotel, so much so that when we were in Schladming again two nights later we booked again. The rooms, while a bit small, are clean and comfortable and have everything you need for a short stay. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Barbara. When we left our sunglasses behind in the room she called and emailed us to let us know so we could retrieve them. We can't recommend this hotel enough!
We enjoyed everything about the hotel.
Modern, tasteful, clean. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
Bathroom was small, there was no space for personal staff
Modern clean and friendly. Good location.
Bathroom a bit small.
Nice breakfast, clean room.
Very small room, just fit to one person, not two
good location near city center8 min walking distance to congress centergood breakfast
wifi interruption made it hard to workVery small bathroom!Spa is very small and only useable for 4 hours /dayrooms too expensive
Really nicely appointed rooms, modern and clean. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is great with a very good breakfast buffet and evening meals are really good. The wellness spa is nice, but has just a sauna and some infra-red chairs, no steam room, though has a very nice and calming relaxation area.
My only criticisms are that the heating throughout is ridiculously and unnecessarily hot and that the hotel lets itself down by not having a bar. The receptionist will serve you a drink in the lounge, but it's not like she's a waitress, and it seems like it's a bit of a favour if she does or you're imposing if you ask.Daytimes in the hotel are not great if, like me, you are sporting an injury preventing you from going skiing or visiting town. There is no bar, the restaurant is closed, the spa doesn't open until 2:30pm. Watching Netflix on your iPad in the sparse and rather unwelcoming lounge area by reception is your only option. You can't even cast your iPad on to the TV in the room. No Netflix, no YouTube, just German TV or the BBC world news. They scrimped a bit on that aspect, which by today's standards in hotels is pretty poor.
It’s positioned a perfect location for access to skiing facilities. The staff, all the staff were wonderful, caring accommodating and genuinely nice people. The hotel is well equipped - spotlessly clean and well maintained. Bedrooms were well thought out, set up with quality furniture and the most comfortable beds you could find.
Leaving it!
Minimalistic. Only one pillow and service was terrible!
The man at the front desk was incredibly rude. Wouldn’t serve us even though the restaurant was open and refused to let us into the spa and tried to make us pay for it even though we spent 3000 at this place for 3 nights.
The hotel is wonderful. Very clean and the facilities are nice. The atmosphere is calm and the staff was great:)Big thanks to Ankica and our new friend Baco.Baco thank you for all your advices and help on getting around the local area:)
Spa area accessible only until 7PM.If you’re skiing until the slopes close, it a bit thight on the schedule to use the Spa.Food at the restaurant for dinner is great but the menu quite limited.
