Hotel Römerhof

Wonderful, friendly staff. a combination of old-fashioned charm and modern (a key card, a/c). There is an elevator. Surprisingly comfortable bed, air condition (which is rare in the region), even a teakettle and refrigerator. TV works well. The best is the location close to the main buses including to the train station 2 minutes to Friedrichsbad, 4 minutes to the Caracalla Therme, very close to shopping and restaurants, a 10-minute stroll to the theater. Breakfast was included and was great for this price range, even included brand-name yogurt and smoked salmon. They make fresh coffee for each guest. This will be now become my first choice in Baden-Baden.

Be aware that there are steps leading to the lobby. They kindly helped me with the heavy luggage but for someone in a wheelchair that might be an issue. However there is a small elevator, so that's great for luggage. Also I was initially hesitant to book because the reception closes early and I thought it wouldn't be possible to arrive late in the evening. At the end I had a different schedule and arrived early in the day but I would have looked elsewhere for a late arrival. Apparently they are ways to retrieve the key after hours. I advise you to get in touch with them by email beforehand if you consider late arrival (but the hotel should really explain this possibility on the Website or people arriving late will just pass it over).

Location at the town center but quiet. Very good breakfast. Spacious bathroom.

The location, the room, the breakfast was all excellent. The staff and cleanliness was also great. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking is expensive.

Construction right outside my room, I couldn't get the heat to turn on, there's an elevator but it's not actually wheelchair accessible - the front steps are big. Parking is at a municipal garage and it's expensive!

Perfect location to explore Baden-Baden. Hotel provides a wonderful breakfast and is close to public transportation. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Baden-Baden. Room is not large by American standards but was very comfortable. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

The room was cozy and clean and had everything we needed. The location was right by the center and the hotel provides paid parking at a parking garage that's located a couple of minutes of walking away from the hotel.

The pipes in the bathroom had a bit of a smell and the gap between the two mattresses in the double bed was slightly uncomfortable.

Extremely helpful staff; good size room; great location in the city center, a few blocks from the thermal spas; good breakfast in a small quaint breakfast room.

In an older building with some worn elements, such as floor not being level; no AC, a freestanding fan was provided instead, but we knew that when we booked it.

Such a lovely hotel! My room looked recently refurbished with quality furnishings, had a nice and practical layout, and everything was sparkling clean. Good quality breakfast with fresh produce and the breakfast room had a nice atmosphere with lovely tablecloth tables. This is what hospitality done right looks like! Perfect location, too. I have already recommended the place to friends planning to visit Baden-Baden.

The location is closed to everything, the shopping street, the Caracalla Spa, the restaurants, etc. Overall clean and functional room. Good choice of breakfast.

A bit of outdated furniture and furnishings.

Location near city center. Parking available nearby. AC and elevator. Our room was large which was great for a 5-night stay. Typical German breakfast offerings were sufficient. Pleasant breakfast room staff.

Location was great! The staff was awesome! Miracle helped us many times with booking a taxi etc. the room was big and comfortable. Pretty good AC (once you figure out how to work it).

The shower door didn’t prevent water from coming out.

Location vs the bathing facilities

A big bed is different from two single beds pushed together which resulted in annoying position of the light switch board

The bathroom was very small , with such a large sleeping room you would think the restroom would of been bigger.

Very nice family hotel in the centre of Baden-Baden. The Caracalla baths are just 3 min walk as well as many shops and restaurants in the centre of town. Very spacious room, very clean with comfortable beds.

The parking is a bit confusing. As the hotel is in the centre of town there is obviously no parking at the hotel, but they provide you with opportunity to park at nearby (walking distance) public parking. We were confused, where to park, when we arrived, and circled couple of times around the centre. It would be useful to have explicit instruction/permission to park in front of the hotel for the duration of check in (we did not know we could do it without breaking city rules).

Great location

Staff is not trained well and told wrong information to the guests so many times even about the security key and payment. I had to be outside for one hour under the night cold weather of the end of Dec and the hotel's response is two hours later. Not sincere attitude ends with uncomfortable stay in holiday season.

The location of the hotel is perfect to enjoy Barden-Barden.

The building is a bit old. Therefore I heard noise from next room many times.
