Sunhotel Fukuyama

Modern (small but cozy) room in very good condition, great location, and with great staff.The staff that cleaned our room also neatly arranged some of our items and did other smaller things.We felt very welcomed, and I would definitely book again!The hotel is very close to the train station and to Fukuyama castle. A convenient store is close by.

The facility didn’t have their own parking space but they directed us to a nearby parking lot.

Two popular with the single businessman crowd. This resulted in nearly unbreathable smoke that filled air in the elevators past 8 PM. You could even smell alcohol in the air.

All the staff are so kind.The location is great and very safe. The room I stayed was nice and quiet and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Great location, stayed on either end of our Shimani Kaido bike ride (first and third night). Not only did they upgrade our room both nights we were there, the second night was the same exact room as the first, adding great familiarity. They also kept our bags for us while we were gone for the night on the bike ride, and the bags were in our room when we checked in. Great washer/dryer too.

The location was amazing and the room was decent for the price.

If you are a light sleeper, the train is quite loud nearby.

Location very near train station, only 5 minutes walk. Room is good emough for single. Comfortable an clean.

Don't like the entrance, need to carry the lugguage to walk steps to enter hotel.

We used this as a base to do the Shimanami Kaido cycling route and therefore only needed basic facilities. The hotel was clean, modern and fairly comfortable. It was great being so close to the station to easily get to and from the cycle route.

Tiny room (like most hotels in Japan), and smallest double bed I’ve experienced. It worked fine for us for the two nights.

Location was great, right by the train station. Loved the room design. Staff were very friendly and understanding with my lack of Japanese.

Access to the building was only up stairs, carrying bags was a hassle, not sure if there was an accessible option.

It's fine for staying one or two nights. The staff is nice and there is free drinks in the lobby. It's close to the station and the castle.

The bed and the rooms are really small. The window is close to the station so you hear trains all night.

The room wad good, the location great and the price was excellent.

The staff cannot speak English and it is difficult to communicate. However they were very polite and try to be very helpful.

The staff were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful from start to finish. The air-conditioner worked very well to beat the summer heat. The room had a high-quality atmosphere with traditional paper windows that were surprisingly effective at blocking outside light and a fancy round table. The hotel is very convenient for those coming from Fukuyama Station.

The pillow was a little hard as is common in many Japanese hotels.

The staff were so amazing and helpful and even helped carry our bags. Great location close to trains and right next to the Fukuyama Castle. Will stay again.

Last min hotel booking as we missed the last shinkansen to Osaka. Great and professional service, very helpful front desk even in the late hours of the night. Comfortable room with necessary amenities. Close to station. Good night's rest after a long day.

Staff was very nice even with languages barriers, the hotel is next to the famous fukuyama castle and train station, bed was very comfi too

No instant coffee in the room, just green tea, not accessibility, escalator would be nice even if the staff carried my suitcase downstairs after check out
