Fukuyama Oriental Hotel

Located very close to JR Fukuyama station, Lawsons across the street, a modest but clean public bath area.

While beds and room is generally clean, the bathroom is old and requires more attention.

Breakfast were great. The room was clean.

If next room talked, easily I could hear during night.

Just a short walk from the central train and bus station makes it an easy stay and local commute in Fukuyama. The castle is nearby and if you're lucky you will have a view of the castle from your room. Supermarkets, convinience stores and other shopping opportunities are in walking distance as well. The hotel is of a modern style and everything is looking pretty new. The staff are very friendly, english speaking and hotel information are provided written in English and are available in your room. The cleanliness is spot on and the public bath is a nice treat. The room is spacious with a table, a little fridge and the bed is comfortable. Though the hotel is near the train station, very little noise is coming through and I had no problems to get a good night sleep. At my next visit I will stay here again.

Excellent hotel for the price. Great loaction. In front of Fukuyama station and Family Mart across from the hotel. The room was small but I knew that when I booked and just as what I needed and breakfast was amazing!

Conveniently located near the station, budget friendly, nice freshly made traditional breakfast, and even an onsen inside.

A good location. A pleasant Japanese style breakfast. A pleasant quieter laid back city. Essty access to the train and bus station. Great places to visit.

It was all good.

Very close to the station and the castle. Room a bit small but has all you need. The baths exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was really excellent.

Right next to the station; clean and comfy rooms. Also second floor has public bath that closes at midnight! The front desk staff were also very nice and let me keep my luggage there until checkin time. There's also extra blankets, pillows, and other amenities for guests to take as they like (you have to return them of course).

It is super central to the train station and the nearby castle and museums! The baths/ Onsens were amazing, nicest I’ve been to within a hotel! Staff allowed us to leave our luggage before and after check in!

There was a person who decided to smoke on the outside stairwell, the smoke wafted into the common area hall. Maybe a better policy about smoking cigarettes.

There was a big bath and security system was good too.

Great hotel, great location, highly underrated city, fabulous castle and historic museums, a very pleasant stay. Quiet, clean and comfortable, a great value!

The breakfast buffet provided (which is not free, just for clarity) was plenty good, and even though the breakfast buffet at the hotel itself was closed for two of the three days of my stay, they allowed me to use my breakfast tickets at the next door hotel, which I guess has the same owner. The location was excellent, right next Fukuyama station and thus downtown Fukuyama. Having the Fukuyama Castle park a block away was a nice plus. The hotel and my room were clean; nothing to complain about regarding cleanliness.

The bed's mattress felt a little on the stiff side. I wasn't at my best health at the time though, making sleep uncomfortable for me in general, but I could still feel that the mattress wasn't very soft. Of course, I can't complain too much given the price. Additionally, the hot water in the shower could have been hotter. The hottest setting still wasn't very hot, especially for the purpose of taking a bath.

The location was close to the station which was great. There were many eateries in the area and was very close to Fukuyama castle. The Onsen was also very nice after traveling.

Love it! Close to everything! Fukuyama is fun to explore abs this hotel has a nice clean onsen bath to use on the second floor!

The location was perfect and an easy access to almost everything. I wish that breakfast should have some variation in its menu.

I was at a loss on how to dispose of my garbage in the morning!
