The location is stunning. The gardens are beautiful. The feel of living in a palace is great. The food also is awesome. The staff is very prompt and helpful.

The washroom as it did not have exhaust fan and place to hang clothes but these are just minor points.

Stunning, has a brilliant view of Mussoorie- the winterline and the night sparkle of Doon lights, along with vintage artefacts from the British era.

Liked everything, of course. The facility even provides a complementary chauffeur service to Mall Road.

The regal nature of the property including the history of it's halls and rooms, as well as the breathatking views from the patios, and gardens will leave you mesmerized. To top it off, they have the most well-oiled crew working round the clock. Kudos to all the staff and caretakers. Please add this historical location to your Mussoorie trip!

Best part of the property is it’s huge open areas with beautiful lawn, kids play area and the view decks.This property seems to be a hidden beauty right on the Mall Road in Mussoorie. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Shoorvir, arvind , jasveer are super hosts.

Nothing as such. Just add a spa

The hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The property is a heritage product with warmth in service. The breakfast was ala cart due to low occupancy however the food was very good. This is a must visit hotel whenever visiting Mussorie. The room size was Hugh with all comforts

Check-In: It was smooth and did not have any problems.Room: Amazing Executive room, well-maintained and kept well. No complaints. Take the Executive Room, thank me later.Hotel Premises: I absolutely loved the place. The reason I booked the place was its heritage connection. It is a surreal experience to sit on the same Terrace that Queen Mary sat at in the early 1900s, overlooking Dehradun and sipping tea. The garden is well-maintained as well as the Badminton court out infront. You can sit and relax in the garden, enjoying the bonfire when they have one, or simply soak in the night lights. Walking through the corridors, both on the ground floor in the main building as well as its first floor is like a walk through a time machine.Breakfast: Choice of multiple options on the menu when we were there. You can order whatever you would like. I took the Continental option the first day and the Indian Option the second day. I specifically asked for a double egg sunny side-up which they made pretty well. The tea was amazing.Belvedere Lounge: I unfortunately was not able to try out the lounge, but you please do visit it atleast once. Location: The location is amazing if you want a place with good sights, centrally placed and yet quiet enough. It has all those qualities. The problem is the route to the hotel.

Approach: So basically, it is a bit inconvenient but not a thing which makes me say that I will not book the hotel again, because I am surely going to visit this place again. The hotel correctly states on their website that the hotel is situated a few hundred meters from the Chowk. Thing is, I came via Taxi, and that is not allowed onto the Mall. Also, Gmaps shows you the rear longer route from Chowk which is about 40-45 minutes walking. That is not the route you have to use.So the way to do it is you take your bags and you walk for about 50-100 meters to the Ritz Cinema (the road is flat the entire way), and crossing it you will see the road from the Methodist Church coming down. That road meets the mall under a huge sign which says "Kasmanda Palace". There you call the hotel and they send their car down to get you. You can walk up too, but its like climbing Mt. Everest and trust me, there's a reason Mister Everest lived in Mussorie. I am sure he climbed that road everyday. It is atleast a 60 degree incline. The car is available from early morning to 2230hrs at night, but the driver used to call us and both nights we have gone up at 2245hrs, so that's not a problem. However, trust me, its not an inconvenience during the day, and almost all restaurants close at 2230hrs, so you're anyway on your way home at night.This was just a point of information, because when we booked, I had thought of walking up for a bit of exercise. I never realised that it can prepare me for mountaineering. Having said this, I personally recommend Kasmanda Palace as the place to stay to anyone who wants a central yet quiet location to stay in Mussorie.

Entry through mall road

It was our second trip. Like always, the staff has been very courteous. The food is amazing and the views are magnificent

No buffet this time as the occupancy was low. But this was not a big deal

Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was big and nice. Walk-in shower had immediate hot water.Breakfast buffet only available when there are enough guests staying, but was of good quality.Lots of memorabilia to inform one about the history of the place I would stay again.

The main power switch isn’t clearly identifiable and therefore one can wake-up with uncharged phones.One night dinner was very good and next evening rather disappointing.Some item at breakfast buffet are lukewarm…

From the reception staff to the hotel manager all took extreme good care of us. Guided us all the way to reach the hotel safely.

The furniture’s needs to be changed although it’s a heritage hotel but they have a block too which has all new five star like rooms
