Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast. Nice location.

Was a fantastic location right across from the beach. Such a special spot honestly, can't fault it one little bit. 100% would stay here again. Its basic but perfect for a beach holiday.

Could have had an option for a second layer of bedding was extremely hard (I understand traditional) but may as well have been sleeping on concrete

Staff was incredible. Free shuttle to and from each ferry arrival/departure that we also used to get back from the port after dropping off rental bikes. Dive facilities attached means easy places to shower and change after a day at the beach before or after checkin/checkout

The rooms (at least on high season) are expensive for what you get which is very basic. But while basic, they had everything you need with a fridge and great AC

The facilities were super clean and had everything you need. Loved the shower. Also the food was incredible for dinner!! Some of the best meals we’ve had in Okinawa.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable. Could feel every spring. Otherwise though the room/accommodations were perfect and super clean.

Staff is very accommodating, front desk went put of the way to make sure we understood everything including shuttle times, especially since we were foreigners. Restaurant was amazing and fair priced. Very understanding, before we even asked they already told us we could store our luggage in front desk, since there was am awkward time between check out and the ferry departure. We are so grateful for welcoming us on their island.

The breakfast was great, the restaurant was lovely and all the staff were very friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location and very clean.

The Japanese style bed was very very thin. Usually the Japanese style beds are a little thicker, if you have any back problems I would not recommend booking the Japanese style room here.

Location was great! You have everything you need right next to the hotel (Aharen Beach, hotel restaurant, snacks & drinks for sale at the reception). The breakfast buffet had lots of options (rice, fish, vegetables, cereal, bread, fruit). You can shower and wash your gear in the common shower area below the guesthouse, and there's a place to dry your stuff as well. There's a free pick-up and drop-off service to Tokashiki and Aharen ferry ports!

Restaurant staff living next room and other guests were very loud, so it's not a place to get a good rest. It's perfect to snorkel at the beach or take part in a diving tour, though. Showers are in a public area below the guesthouse and warm water stops at 10:30 pm.

All rooms are private at this pension. A stunning beach with an uninhabited Island is within a few minutes walking distance, excellent store close by, staff are friendly, free shuttle service that runs to the port, and back, just look for the blue see friend bus and get on it, it is always there after the ferry arrives the pension is old and charming, fridge and electric kettle are provided, kayak and gear hire are there, the pension is the only place on the island where I found I could hire a kayak as a solo traveler, the rest seemed to be tour only. Maybe there are other places as well. Overall a friendly pension on a friendly island

Great location right by the port. The place organized pick-up for us and the breakfast that was included was great.

Unfortunately the ferry we were supposed to take got canceled because of bad weather. We would have expected the hotel to let us know since they were supposed to take us there in the morning. Instead we had to find out by ourselves at the last minute to try to reorganize our plans. They didn’t speak much English which was also a challenge.

The staff was great and the location excellent. The breakfast was really good as well.

They could spend some money and attend to the standard of the shower area.

Lovely staff, clean facilities, and close to the beach, which is worth the visit. Good authentic breakfast. Self serve green tea available at all times. Individual heat pump in every room, which worked well. Overall, good value for the stay.

There was an ant situation in my room. This can't be avoided given it's a tropical stay near nature, but it did make it rather uncomfortable sleeping on the floor with them crawling on my sheets. Also, the futon was thin, as most traditional tatami stays, but I found it a bit hard sleeping on the floor

Unique facility, free shuttle, delicious breakfast, 1 min to a dream beach. Helpful stuff. Forgot something in the hotel, got delivered back to me with the next ferry, couldn't believe, just amazing!

The room was kind of basic but very clean. Air con was working fine. The Japanese style breakfast was very good and abundant. Personnel was very nice and helpful.

The only thing that I didn’t like, and that was my mistake for not asking in advance, was the price for the boat snorkeling trip, almost 50 US$ for half an hour of not really interesting snorkeling is way too much.

Nothing, except I stayed in a full house and could hear the people above me's kids running and banging around quite a lot. I was hardly ever in the room so it didnt matter.

I really liked the convenience. The hotel bus was waiting for us at the ferry port to pick us up and take us to the hotel. The staff was prepared for us having items that we needed to be held prior to check-in (the ferry arrives hours before check-in) and they held our stuff for us so we could go out to the beach and enjoy the day. The location was perfect since it was close to the beach. There was a shower station and rental station right around the corner so we could clean off our gear and let it drip dry without needing to lug it around. The izakaya across the street had delicious noodles and drinks (not sure if it was part of the hotel or not, but it's right outside the door). Even though there are no convenient stores nearby, I liked that the hotel desk had chu-hai, beer, water, and Blue Seal to purchase at a very reasonable price. One thing to note, the rooms are VERY quiet. I'm a very light sleeper and I did not hear the people above me, or anything going on outside. I slept like a baby.

The breakfast felt very minimal on options. Would have liked fresh grilled fish instead of fried battered fish. Since the location is so secluded from going any place else (no breakfast places or convenient stores), you have to rely on the hotel's breakfast in the morning. I just wish the breakfast had more options that were fresh so that the day starts off good. Maybe more fresh fruit, veggies, pickled veggies, and grilled/baked fish would have made breakfast a better experience.
