Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola

Location, very beautiful garden and surroundings.

Hotel could have been maintained better. Some of the areas in the hotel could be updated. Restaurant looks outdated.

Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola is an hour by taxi from the Milan Airport in a quiet area of Lake Lucano. It is an exceptional property with almost one person on staff per quest. The hotel has beautiful furniture and furnishings and is immaculately cleanThe cruisine. In their Arte Gallery restaurant located on the lake was 5 star plus.The Spa was wonderful. The grand pool and hot tub areas were barely used as patrons enjoyed lounging on the hotel private area on the lakeI am planning to return next summer for a weekAlso the piano music in the smaller lounge and terrace restaurant was a delightful treat each evening.

I wish I was able to stay another three days.

A really beautiful hotel in lovely gardens. I was upgraded to a fantastic suite. The staff are lovely.

The hotel is beautiful, nice building, halls, overall structure, very kind staff and the room was really good (beautiful, comfortable, spatious, with a balcony and view of the amazing garden

Breakfast very limited choices especially for muslims.Carpet in room was unhygienic and over used. Location far from town square >2Km about 25 min walk

Location, rooms, cleanliness, their care of everything. Breakfast. Since we arrived we feel relaxed and home. They try to help as much as possible. They bring small bed for my son without any charge and the way they welcomed us was really appreciate.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay: the staff were so friendly and attentive, the views were gorgeous, the room was magnificent, the beds comfortable, and the spa was clean and quiet, with the massages so great and relaxing. We also loved the breakfast spread. It’s a nice stroll into town and the hotel is in a quiet area. Perfect for a getaway and melt away the stress! I definitely want to return and if you have any second thoughts about booking, just do it ?

Beautiful location right across from the lake. Outside the front door was the incline to Monte Bre which was extremely convenient with stunning views!

My room could have been more child friendly, breakfast selection and quality could be improved when compared to other luxury hotels I have stayed.

Everything about my stay here was outstanding, can’t actually describe how great was the stay, I am afraid that the words won’t be enough. But in conclusion; great location, the rooms were clean, the view to the lake is breathtaking and the staff is super friendly and always trying their best to help promptly and in the best way. For me, definitely a place to visit again and again. One more advice, if you order from room service, you have to try their grilled Salomon ?

Great service and hospitality, beautiful building and garden, rooms nicely decorated. The ATRE restaurant was an exceptional experience worth the money for us.

Some of the dishes/drinks at the Rucola felt a bit overpriced, while the service was great too.

Love the view, the calmness and the stay with the sun.

The breakfast was good, but a few very good fresh pancakes could be added

Everything! The cleanliness, service, staff above all else. We were staying there to celebrate our 6th anniversary and they were so kind to welcome us with some chocolate and candies.

Great location just outside Lugano, immaculately clean, staff were very attentive and room was fabulous.
