the overall quality was really good, we enjoyed a lot the pools, the breakfast and the room

I found the extra services pretty expensive, and we were lacking few services such as snacks catering during the day, or boutique

Lovely Hotel and Staff

Too many Kids (14 at dinner) which did not promote a romantic environment for dinner. Great for families not so great if you want a relaxing quiet dinner

Collina d’Oro Resort is a very quiet , luxurious place with an exquisite peaceful view to Lugano lake, and a harmonious nature.We enjoyed the palatable Mediterranean and Swiss food, and the special intercontinental breakfast with nature view.Warm swimming pool with sparkling shiny waters nested in the heart of the surrounding mountains and hills. This is not poetry , it is the actual charm and spirit of the resort.It is recommended for families, and nature lovers!It is to 8 mn away from Tasis the American Summer school by car, and there is a bus transporting yo the Lugano center every 1 hour.A small library in the hotel lobby for readers!I personally highly recommend this place, to spend a healthy and mind restoring vacation?

The opening hours of the garden restaurant is short, i recommend to be increased in high season. As the resort is a bit distant from the center and food areas about 18 mn by car.

We loved the location, interior, wellness - simply everything! We got our room upgraded for free which was amazing. The location is excellent for a gateway weekend, also for families with children.

It s very pitty that the management of the hotel started to charge money for underground parking space ; this is really unfair and not correct as too many places remained empty and moreover that way to charge ( stealing..) money for nothing is making part of new procedures. On the breakfast buffet : all kind of sliced fruits were not fresh and seemed to me just out of cans; not freshly cut .

The Spa is amazing. Great food. Quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. Great view.

Nice location on top of a hill. With spa facilities.

Would be nice if the pool water temperature is higher.

Nice interior in the hotel lobby. Clean pools and territory. The hotel is in a quiet place. Good breakfast with kind waiters. Great shower in the room.

If you booked a number with Mountain view you will be disappointed, because you will see only green rock’s wall at a distance of 10 meters. I think it is cheating to give the room's name "... with Mountain View" without it. Hotel has big underground parking but it costs 25 CH for night, of course you can park your car outside but parking is too small, only for 12 cars and almost always busy.Pool outside does not have a view of the valley like in the photo. There are bushes around the pool. The hotel is located far from the center, about 40 minutes by bus, which runs once an hour.In the first evening I asked for a socket adapter for my laptop, but the adapter did not work. I tried to change and when they asked me to show which device I tried to use. I had to prove that the problem was in the adapter and not in my device. After the receptionist tried to fix the adapter, it was really strange. Was it really a problem to give me another adapter? I got a new adapter when I returned to the hotel after dinner. But for some reason the employee decided to show that the adapter was working. If you don't trust your customers, why are you in this business?

Restaurant it’s very bad , they close the kitchen early and room service very bad since they bring the food/ pizza from the fridge cold not hot ant it looks old not fresh And the breakfast very poor and am sorry to say it’s 3 star level .

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room (junior suite). Good parking facilities.

The bed was quite small and uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast service was quite chaotic although the staff were nice when they had a second from running back and forth. Cutlery was missing. Breakfast variety not very broad.

It's a nice hotel but the price / quality is not good. The restaurant food is really expensive but not good at all.

The spa and outdoor pool area are very relaxing. Especially in early morning. Since it is big, you have the feeling that you're alone in the complex.

The only downside was the view of the room. However, I think you could have booked a better view. I am not sure, though.

This was one of the best stays we had recently. To start, we had a great reception by Giuseppe. He made sure to show us around the property and tell us everything about it. Everyone from the staff was very polite and made our experience even better.Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, but we got an upgrade to a better room if we would wait a bit longer, which wasn’t a problem for us.The place had the most beautiful view of Colina D’Oro. They have a good underground parking space, that was much needed due to the heat.

Now, not everything was perfect of course. The breakfast? Even though it was great, it doesn’t have many choices or variations. Given this is an expensive resort, I was expecting something more.Another thing that bothered me a bit is that when you want to have dinner at your room, they charge you 10 CHF for the room service. That’s quite expensive and probably unnecessary.

Beautiful location overlooking the mountains of Lugano, The hotel itself was beautiful as well and the Spa very comfortable. The staff in the hotel were super friendly and helpful...and dealt with everything in the most skillfull way.I really miss this beautiful place.

The aircondition in the room had a mind of its own and could not be programmed to a preferable temperature. The beds were comfortable, but there are many hotels with better beds and linnen.
