Hotel Pestalozzi Lugano

Location was great, but everything here was basic. not even water bottle in room, no amenities in shower. poor breakfast with extra charge for an omelet

Beautiful old hotel, well maintained, excellent location in the city center, quick bus from the train station, about two blocks from bus depot. Staff are great, very helpful. Room was small, very well appointed & bed was very comfortable, high ceilings make it feel spacious. Breakfast was good, decent selection. Would recommend, looking forward to staying again.

Rooms could be bigger

Great location. The AC in the rooms is amazing. You can get your room ice cold in the super hot summer. Best night sleepall summer.

The ladies working in the breakfast area seemed very disgruntled. I was scared to ask for a coffee. Also, not sure why one of the male employees (maybe owner) has so many photos of himself? sugar packets, liquor bottles, framed photos, a commissioned art work of himself? And one with his watch outlined in gold? Am I missing something? (Not even a legend like Pirmin Zurbriggen does this, and Zurbriggen owns two hotels in Zermatt). It felt really strange. Grumpy ladies and a bragging owner? An odd dynamic, for sure.

Great central location near the lake. Very clean room, friendly staff, daily housekeeping.

It may have been because we stayed over Easter weekend, but we had a room facing towards the lake overlooking the road and several bars and the noise from the bars was exceptionally loud and went on into the early hours (both loud music and people screaming and shouting). It was difficult to get to sleep every night - we needed both the window open and fan on to keep the room cool.

great location in the centre of Lugano. Perfect room for a weekend escape. Simple but good breakfast was included. Only parking slots too limited, will be better to have more.

Location being close to Parco Ciani and our room had a lake view. People were very good and room sizes were good.

Needs tech upgrade for fans and AC considering it can get hot in summers.

Great location right in the city center, pretty and comfy hotel. The service and attention were excellent.

This is a good hotel in the center of Lugano. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast has all the items you need for a breakfast. I recommend it for a long weekend or a few days stay in Lugano. The staff is very friendly and seem to speak many languages.
