Hotel Lido Seegarten

Being on the lake was great. The pool was excellent. The restaurant had very good food.

The location is good and the view is nice

No private parking for the guests. The nearest parking is about 6-7 minutes walking and it is 30 CHF per night. The room I got was right next to construction site which was inconvenient and noisy.

The only shortcoming was the expresso machine and table lamp in the room did not work.

The breakfast was phenomenal. The room itself was very basic, average and dated. The amenities in the room were nice (robes, towel warmer) However, the blow dryer did not work. The view was lovely. The bed and pillows were very average, I would not say they were comfortable.

0 stars for customer service. I was completely taken advantage of by the front desk staff given that I am a younger woman who did not fit their general demographic. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel in all of my travels. I have stayed at a varying level of hotels and have never experienced such poor customer service. There is one particular woman at the front desk who was rude and aggressive right from check in. There was some confusion on check in for which I rectified quickly. The woman had disabled my key card with all of my belongings (including passport) locked inside the room, which is completely unacceptable, and demanded I pay a higher rate. I told her I would update the reservation myself with booking.com and review the changes she proposed which she did not give me the opportunity to do, being that I was locked out of my room. Throughout the stay she had raised her voice at me and called me a liar in the lobby in front of other guests which was so embarrassing. I was so uncomfortable I actually checked out 1 day early. I opted to move to a new hotel and pay out of pocket.

It’s amenities, the service, clean and very good location, its my second time staying in this beautiful hotel , definitely will come back again!

Overall my stay was wonderful, but the bellboy was not professional and had an unpleasant odor; proper hygiene and training are needed.

The lake was so beautiful from our balcony! Definitely worth getting a lake view. We did not mind the short walk into town at all.

Would have liked an iron or steamer

Would’ve liked maybe a more spacious room and wish there was a steamer or iron in it but otherwise great .

Very nice room, with exceptional wiev on the lake and mountains. If you like swimming this hotel is ideal: Just at the lakefront, has own some kind of a pontoon in short swimming distance from the hotel. Additionally even a nice swimming pool. Overall the ambiente of the hotel was super meeting a four star Swiss hotel.The breakfast was amazing wide variety and good quality.

The very aggresive birds in the utdoor breakfast place, I would recommend to find solution in order to avoid the risk of customers sharing their food with the birds. Parking was not available as expected - however the hotel was helpful finding some kind of a "solution"

Our room was underneath the gym on the roof and while the gym was open it was a little noisy but not a huge hassle

Excellent staff in the restaurants and in the bar. Nice breakfast. Beautiful view of the lake from the restaurants, the pool and the bar. The view from our room was also excellent. Organized front desk staff.

Food situation is strange for a hotel this size. You cannot get any food at all between 2:30PM and 7:00PM. The website says that they have food in the bar, but they do not have any food in the bar after 2:30PM for the rest of the night. You have to go down the street to one of the cafes to get anything to eat. And room service is only available when the restaurant is open after 7PM or at lunch. Naturally we arrived at 2:30 and were out of luck!We knew that the parking was far, but at least they have parking now.

The people who worked at the hotel are lovely and accommodating, and the food was delicious and the views exceptional

Location is excellent. The view of the lake from my room was terrific and thhe balcony is nice for a coffee in the morning or drink at sunset. The breakfast was excellent with wide variety of food including things like freshly made butter. WE had dinner at the restaurant and the food was outstanding

The door to the balcony has a sharp "stop" in the middle of the step. It perforated the sole of the slippers and nearly injured the skin of my foot
