Location, run by young and passionate folks, authentic. We loved the dinners there, a few fresh perfect dishes!

I liked the location of the hotel, as well as the room with a balcony with a fascinating view of the lake. The breakfast was basic but very delicious. complimentary free bus ticket was a very valuable addition.

The breakfast was very average as was the evening meal which was also expensive but maybe this is the usual price in Switzerland.

The room was small, and of course no Mountain View, I was on the first floor and saw only the wall of the other building.

The room was big, light, sunny, silent and with a great view - great option! It was very nice to wake up there, also has an additional table to work at. We really enjoyed the room a lot.

There are not maybe that many food options for breakfast, especially if you cannot eat milk. But the croissants were really great! We enjoyed it anyway.

The hotel was clean, served a decent breakfast, and the location was absolutely amazing and the views were brilliant. Not far from the center just a 30-45mins walk and bus stop is also nearby. Best Value hotel.

For me everything was good nothing to complain about.

The location, the view, the breakfast, the bed, personal, cleanness and atmosphere in the room and at the hotel. You can walk as late as you wish and there is a code to the back door.

The staff are very friendly. They were going above and beyond to make sure everything is comfortable. We got a very large room with a view of the lake.

We loved our stay at the Locanda!The location is ideal if you want to enjoy the magic of Castagnola. Lugano's lively centre is about a 30-minute walk away, so the hotel is located in a much quieter part of the city, with charming streets and fantastic views. There is also a public transport stop right next to the hotel. The beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and tidy.Hotel staff is the best! We felt really welcomed. They also helped us with recommendations on what to see and what not to miss. Check-in process and all other communucation with them was super easy. A wonderful experience!We will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We are coming back. Loved the location a little up the hill, good start position for a great bike route and has a good bus connection to the city center. Good breakfast and dinner as well!Kind stuff and clean rooms. Perfect for a weekend stay.

The staff were excellent - kind and helpful, very good with our dog. breakfast was good.

Small inconvenience was the road parking - but the staff were super helpful and used their parking application to organise day parking permits for us for 10chf.

From the first minute when we wentered we felt very welcome. All the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.The property is a little outside the center, but it is a lovely walk along the lakeside down to the oldtown.

Poor choices for breakfast and in the bathroom there was no brush to clean the toilet.

Located a bit "outside" of the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really nice. Rooms are totally ok, not that modern but enough comfort. We even had some lake view.

I personally think the pictures suggest more modern rooms than they really are. But it's not a real issue. There are some parkings around the area but no guaranted space.
