Pros +
- We had a great stay at Hotel Europe. This was a last minute booking. Hotel is right across from train station and just around the corner from most of the city. Room was fairly basic, but very clean with a comfortable bed. Would def stay here again!
- Great location. Can’t be better.
- Exceptional location convenient for anyone arriving by train. Great communication by the staff prior to check in.
Cons -
- Being across from a major train terminal MAY cause some noise early morning if you sleep late. However, I did not notice any noise. The windows seemed to insulate from sound very well.
- The bathroom was leaking, but it’s too late to report to the front desk. So we just sealed with it !
- The self check-in process was a bit confusing but once we figured it out everything was great.

The self check-in process was a bit confusing but once we figured it out everything was great.
Excellent location across the street from the train station yet it was a very quiet hotel. The bed was very comfortable.
Unmanned reception area. The hotel lobby was rather dark when I came home alone after dinner.
The person at the front desk was extremely welcoming and accommodating. He gave us a free upgrade and was very helpful with everything. We needed a microwave and he offered one without any issues. Usually in these areas the hotels are expensive and they try to rip us off by not providing free water here they had a glass with water ready in the room. It’s super close to the station.
No complaints really, just that the building is a bit old.
The master bed room was spacious and the second bed room was perfect for the children. The location is very close to the train station and restaurants.
Cannot think of any
Haven't met any of the personnel, but all was arranged upfront
The room was moldy, and sheets and covering were old and worn out, leaving the impression as they were not replaced.
The room was so small that sleeping with the window closed was impossible. With window open it felt like sleeping right in between the train tracks, which are only a few meters away.
The room size is moderate, the bathroom is not inside the room, and the shower area is a bit small. It’s very close to the train station.
Amazing roomSo clean and literally huge for a hotel room
The shower was a bit smallBut not too bad
Great room with a balcony! Staff were wonderful! Steps from the train station, Like 50 steps...
The room was very clean and had a small refrigerator. Train/bus station was directly across the street was a plus (convenience) and a minus (noise). Friendly staff.
The hotel is on a very busy street across from the train station and the noise level was extremely loud all night long. Due to the heat wave and no AC, we had to keep the windows open, letting in all the noise. The hotel provided a tiny fan but it was barely sufficient to cool the room. While the hotel cannot control the weather, some consideration should be made for larger fans. The shower stall was missing a panel, so water went all over the floor when we took showers. The cleaning staff was well aware of this but the hotel reception seemed less aware. We contacted them via Booking. com messaging to tell them about it because no one answered the phone at the reception desk (for use when the desk is not staffed) and we were going to be out all day. The message was never acknowledged.
From Brig train station only like 5mins walkCrossover the station is central cityRoom with balcony and mountain viewsStaff is friendly ???
I need fuschet to clean my butt after take a dump ?
Location was great, bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. Could access our room early which was helpful.
Room had kettle and mugs but no coffee etc - reception let me have 2 tea bags on request but was advised to go to the supermarket to buy coffee. Couldn’t leave the windows open at night as they were not secure.
- Right next to the railway station - Room is comfortable- Friendly personnel- Nice breakfast
- Bathroom is a bit cramped- Road noise
Excellent location for train travellers and those catching the Bernina Express as it is directly opposite the station. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Straightforward room but clean and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. Recommended.
Used as overnight stay breaking up a journey. Perfect position next to railway station with quick walk to local cafes and restaurants. Large renovated well equipped and comfortable room
Hotel looks pretty tired from the outside that initially had me worried- but room was great. If I hadn’t booked online I would have been reluctant to go in and enquire about a room.
Location. It is right in front of the train station.Great staff!
Could have more options in the breakfast menu.
Staff very welcoming but nobody is at the reception after 9pm.Bathroom new just redone.Rooms are very clean.
The rooms are overpriced for what you get. We booked 2 rooms and ours had very bad mattresses (very/too soft), the other room had slightly firmer ones but quite soft. The pillows were not firm either and the sheets were not made of natural fabric which produced static electricity and made us sweat. There is no air conditioning but this is ok in spring as you can use windows. The breakfast is also overpriced. The coffee is decent but we were served old/hard brioche and bread. Jams and cereals were fine.We also ran into a payment issue: payments were taken two times apart, I originally thought we'd pay the rest the day we arrived but the payment was taken before and therefore cancelled by my bank, the hotel/Booking automatically cancelled the stay, I had to rebook last minute at a slightly higher price. The hotel owner was kind enough to accept full reimbursement of the first payment (still waiting to get).
Great for a one night stopover. Close to station and old town. Large, warm room with balcony and excellent views. Unpretentious but exactly what we needed.
